How to Start the Proces-Verbal Quest in Dune: Awakening (Meet the Chief Investigator)

Upon entering Dune: Awakening following an update, players stepping outside will encounter Zantara’s pet bat. After this brief encounter, you’ll receive a phone call from Elara Tuek, urging you to travel to Harko Village where the Chapter 2 questline begins. Upon arrival and meeting Elara, players will witness a scene featuring Count Fenring, who will task them with locating a murderer running amok in Arakeen, marking the start of their new adventure.

Starting the “Proces-Verbal mission” will set off a series of events that ask players to journey to Arakeen and converse with Chief Investigator Sub-Prefect Tors. After agreeing to collaborate with him, he’ll direct you to locate Osten Laithe in the upper part of Salusan Bull.

Upon commencing the “Proces-Verbal quest,” players must make their way to Arakeen and speak with Chief Investigator Sub-Prefect Tors. Once you decide to help the Investigator, he’ll guide you towards finding Osten Laithe in Salusan Bull’s upper region.

Don’t forget to scrutinize other items within the room as well, including the objects listed below.

  • The book that’s placed on the table, in front of the body.
  • The food pot that’s next to the book.
  • The wine carafe that’s on the opposite table from the body.
  • The main table with scrolls and notes placed on it.

Once you’re done investigating the body and the room for clues, exit the area.

Just beyond the door, on the left side, you’ll encounter Hester Klimt, who can provide more information about the death of Osten Laithe for your investigation. However, she is skeptical about foul play, so you’ll need to collect medical evidence to support your theories.

Get the Poison Snooper & Prove Foul Play
