In chapter 2 of Romeo is a Dead Man, players reaching the Deadford Shopping Mall need to activate three generators. This is crucial to restore power to the mall and locate the singularity hidden inside. When players enter Deadford Shopping Mall, they’ll immediately face a group of enemies. Defeating them will turn on the main generator, bringing power and lights back to the mall.

Keep walking into the mall, and you’ll see a purple Tesseract near a bright, white portal. Pick up the Tesseract to get a special item: the Exorcist Sword – Gold. You’ll need this sword to destroy the white portal (called the Liminal Wall) and open up a new part of the mall.

Go upstairs to the second floor from where you found the first generator and open the shop shutter. This will uncover the first generator you need to turn on, but you’ll have to defeat a big monster named Flab first. After Flab and any other enemies are dealt with, activate the generator.

Stay on the first floor and go to the mall’s center. You’ll see a caged generator. You can’t reach it directly, so you’ll need to use wooden boards to jump down into the cage from the second floor.

After you fall, you’ll need to beat Tomato Head and a new four-legged enemy called Gecko. Once they’re both defeated, a Subspace television will activate. Use this TV to teleport to Subspace.

After entering Subspace, go up the stairs directly ahead. This will take you to the second floor of the mall’s Subspace version. Then, look to your left and jump down to the first floor. Continue forward, and turn left to find a bright, white wall that seems out of place, visible through the glass double doors.

Use the Gold Exorcist Sword to break down the Liminal Wall and move forward. Continue through the changing hallway until you find a new Subspace TV. Interacting with it will take you to the storage area of Deadford Mall.

Continue along the path between the storage shelves until you find the third generator. Defeat any enemies nearby, then turn the generator on – this finishes the main goal for chapter 2 of Romeo is a Dead Man. With all generators now running, use the Subspace TV and navigate the maze to proceed.
