How to Steal the Ashiga Relic in Star Wars Outlaws (Wellspring)

As a seasoned gamer who’s been through the wringer of countless interstellar adventures, I can confidently say that the stealth-action gameplay of Star Wars Outlaws has me hooked. The Safecracker quest, with its intricate puzzle and high-stakes heist, is a testament to the game’s depth and attention to detail.

In their journey through “Star Wars Outlaws,” players will find that each mission can significantly differ based on their character’s reputation standings. In the scenario known as “The Safecracker,” Kay is tasked with infiltrating a Crimson Dawn stronghold called the Wellspring. Despite any relationship Kay may have with the syndicate, this location is strictly off-limits, meaning Kay won’t be granted entry. This walkthrough will assist players in figuring out a means to access the Wellspring in Star Wars Outlaws, and acquire the Ashiga relic.

How to Find A Way into the Wellspring in Star Wars Outlaws

In the story ‘The Safecracker‘, character Kay Vess strikes a bargain with Queen Ashiga to pilfer a valuable artifact from within the Crimson Dawn’s stronghold, where it is securely kept. At this juncture in the game, players might have elevated their standing with the Crimson Dawn sufficiently to approach the main entrance. However, the Wellspring, despite one’s reputation, remains off-limits even for those boasting an Excellent reputation. Consequently, Kay must devise a different strategy to infiltrate the building and make off with the artifact.

In order for Kay to gain entry without detection, her plan must be stealthy and involve finding the ideal spot to slip in unnoticed. Fortunately, the entrance is situated in a neutral zone, so she can avoid being seen until she’s safely inside. Here’s how to get into the Wellspring:

  • Start from the front entrance to the Wellspring. Kay will be told the building is a restricted area by the guards.
  • Turn around and look east, you’ll see a small stone path that leads across a small pond. Follow it around the building.
  • At the end of the path, you’ll encounter a broken wall. Kay can just fit through the opening, which leads to a secret area in the back of the Wellspring.
  • As you emerge from the broken wall, you’ll see a small pit in the ground, head towards it and look at the bottom. You’ll see an open vent. Enter the vent, and follow it until you reach the ladder.
  • Climb the ladder and enter the next vent, then follow the corridor until you reach the opening above the kitchen. Drop into the kitchen and you’ll now be inside the Wellspring.

How to Steal the Ashiga Relic

Inside the Wellspring, Kay’s primary objective becomes the retrieval of the Ashiga relic from the grand hall. The hall is swarming with guards from the Crimson Dawn, who will immediately become hostile upon spotting Kay. Although a direct confrontation could lead to swift success, there’s also an opportunity for Kay to navigate through the area undetected.

Disable the Energy Barrier:

As a fervent admirer, I’d share that my initial move to snatch the sacred artifact is by accessing a terminal to disengage the protective energy shield. Upon leaving the kitchen, you’ll face your first adversary. In this instance, it would be wise to activate the Stun mode since it operates silently. With the Data Spike in hand, navigate through the first chamber, and venture into the main hall. Once inside, the artifact will be visible within its security case, enclosed by another energy barrier.

Circumvent the perimeter of the second floor at a steady pace. You’ll likely run into several enemies simultaneously. To maintain stealth, employ a mix of Stun shots, Nix attacks, and takedowns. If two enemies are facing you, stun one first, then swiftly perform a takedown on the other. In case an enemy is out of reach, use Nix to attack them, followed by moving closer for a takedown.

Instead of using the “Increases Stun Shot recharge speed” belt, you might want to opt for a belt that expedites your stun shot’s recharge rate. This means that each time you execute a takedown, your stun shot will be ready again quicker. The “Scoundrel Belt” and the “Molder Thief Belt” are excellent options for this purpose.

Towards the end of the second floor, right before you ascend the stairs, there is a locked room. Use the Data Spike to unlock it, and then utilize SWO‘s Slice function to access the terminal. This action will enable Kay to deactivate the energy blockade.

Steal the Relic:

After removing the barrier, Kay is free to grab the artifact from its downstairs display case. Proceed from the control room towards the stairs. You’ll encounter droids on the lower level who are impervious to stun attacks. If you possess a Star Wars Outlaws Electro-Shock Prod, utilize stealth takedowns. In its absence, try to avoid them. Upon Kay securing the artifact, follow the quest indicator to an upstairs exit. Return the artifact to Queen Ashiga, and that will complete ‘The Safecracker‘ mission.
