However, the number of endings you can uncover is impressive, ranging from well-developed to more subtle ones. Some of these endings might require you to assume a certain character and perform specific actions. Here’s how you can switch between the three playable characters in the game:

2. Character B: To access this character, you need to reach a certain point in Character A’s storyline.

How To Switch Characters In NieR: Automata

In your initial experience with the game, you don’t have the freedom to swap characters at will. Instead, the character you control changes for each play session.

  • Playthrough 3 – 2B/9S/A2, switching between each character as the story dictates.
