In the game *Ghost of Yotei*, the world feels alive and dynamic. While it doesn’t feature changing seasons like *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, the time of day does matter – the day-night cycle can noticeably affect how you complete tasks and side quests.
Sometimes in *Ghost of Yotei*, you’ll only be able to finish a quest at night. That’s why knowing how to change the time of day can be helpful. Luckily, it’s easy – you just need to press a couple of buttons.
How to Change the Time of Day in Ghost of Yotei
Players can quickly change the time of day by either resting at an existing campsite or setting up a new one – just hold left on the D-pad in an open area. At a campsite, you can choose to sleep until morning or until night. If you prefer, you can also simply wait for the time to change naturally.
Some locations, like Mount Yotei, are always daytime. If you use fast travel to reach one of these places at night, the game will automatically switch the time to day.
When to Switch to Nighttime in Ghost of Tsushima
Okay, so in *Ghost of Yotei*, some of the side quests send you searching around at night, but honestly, messing with the time of day is useful even outside of those. If you like playing stealthily, taking down those Yotei camps is *way* easier in the dark, so it’s worth quickly switching to night before you go in. But on the flip side, exploring the map is much easier and looks amazing during the day, so sometimes I just sleep until morning to enjoy it all. It really depends on what I’m trying to do!
