In 99 Nights in the Forest, working with others is key to survival, making it tough to go it alone. Luckily, the Taming Update introduced the ability to tame pets! This guide will cover every animal in 99 Nights in the Forest and explain how to tame each one.

The forest isn’t just filled with dangerous creatures—it’s also home to a variety of wild animals. Some will leave you alone, but others might attack if they see you. Luckily, with enough time and effort, you can befriend these animals and have them as companions.

Taming Explained in 99 Nights in the Forest

In *99 Nights in the Forest*, the biggest dangers aren’t always the strongest monsters – groups of weaker enemies and even forest animals can be very threatening. While many of these creatures used to attack players on sight, the Taming Update made it possible to befriend and tame a lot of them.

In 99 Nights in the Forest, you can befriend animals by using the Taming Flute. It works like a fishing minigame – succeed, and then simply feed the animal its favorite food to make it your pet. Keep in mind though, you can only have a maximum of two pets active at any given time.

Keep in mind you might have to repeat these steps with each animal until all the faces above it turn green – that’s when it becomes your pet! You’ll also need a better flute, but you can upgrade it in the Skills Building, just like you upgrade your fishing rod.

After you get a pet in *99 Nights in the Forest*, you can teach it tricks! There are four different commands you can use with your pet.

Follow – Your pet will follow you and attack your enemies.
Release – Despawns your pet.
Sit – Your pet sits and awaits further commands.
Rename – You can rename your pet.
