In the game “RuneScape: Dragonwilds”, Ashenfall is a vast continent teeming with diverse materials and a multitude of creatures, some peacefully coexisting while others pose a dangerous threat. Due to its immense size, it can be quite challenging to fully explore without encountering peril and respawning at your base camp, which may be miles away from where you were previously exploring. Consequently, mastering fast travel becomes crucial for smoother exploration.
In the game of RuneScape: Dragonwilds, you can facilitate swift travel by constructing a particular structure that uses minimal resources. This recipe for the structure becomes accessible fairly early in the game, as it’s crucial to start developing your fast-travel capabilities from the outset. When you eventually discover distant regions later on, you’ll be grateful for this early investment!
How To Unlock Fast Travel In RuneScape: Dragonwilds

As an ardent player in the captivating world of RuneScape: Dragonwilds, I’ve found a nifty trick for mastering swift travel. To achieve this, it’s crucial to secure a Vault Core and unravel the secret of the Lodestone structure recipe. Here’s a hint: The Temple Woods Vault, situated south of Bramblemead Valley, is your best bet for finding that elusive Vault Core. Give it a thorough exploration, and voila! You’ll find yourself in possession of the sought-after recipe. This magical artifact allows you to set up a platform that serves as a teleportation portal, whisking you from one location to another at lightning speed!
You will need to collect the following materials to craft it:
- Stone x32: Collect some from the ground or destroy boulders using a pickaxe or spells. It can be found anywhere in Ashenfall.
- Rune Essence x20: Destroy Rune Essence stones using a pickaxe or spells. They are usually found in vaults or floating around a Rune Essence Geyser.
- Vault Core x1: Located inside vaults, usually guarded by tough enemies or hidden behind a hidden passage.
After gathering all necessary items, follow these steps: Create several of them and set them up in distinct locations to initiate teleportation. Remember to position one of them close to your camp for effortless return. Once you’ve found one, engage with it to access a map, then pick the desired Lodestone destination. Feel free to produce as many as needed and set them anywhere, however, be aware that using the Lodestones comes at a cost.
Every time I yearn to zip across the game world, I must employ the Law Rune, a craftable artifact created on the Rune Altar using Rune Essence. The price for each use isn’t fixed; instead, it fluctuates based on the weight of my item and the distance from the Lodestone I aim to teleport towards. For instance, if the gap isn’t vast and my load is moderate, I might need between 2 to 14 Law Runes. But, if I’m bulky or far away, it could cost me upwards of 50 Law Runes, sometimes even more!
