Pathologic 3 continues the story told in previous games, but this time you play as Daniil Dankovsky, a doctor and researcher at the Thanatica lab. Like before, you’ll explore a mysterious town and have 12 days to determine both Daniil’s destiny and the fate of the town itself.

The game begins on Day 1 and quickly advances to Day 5. From there, you can explore and even change different days. To do this, the main character needs to unlock the ability to see into the past, a feature in Pathologic 3. You can travel through time by interacting with the clocks located throughout the town.

How To See The Past (Time Travel) In Pathologic 3

In Pathologic 3, reaching Day 5 unlocks the ability to experience past events and travel through time. Here’s what you need to do to get there:

  • Find Rubin
  • Go meet the Kain
  • Speak to Isidor

As you explore, you might discover a clock that hints at Daniil’s power to manipulate time. But he won’t be able to use this ability until he finishes certain tasks first.

Following his discovery of Rubin’s shadow, his encounter with Isidor’s locked door, and the kindness he received from Kain, Daniil will be overcome with sadness.

As the story progresses, the main character will become increasingly hopeless, shown by a rising “Apathy” meter. Eventually, this will lead him to lose the will to live and commit suicide. This is a planned part of the narrative, so players shouldn’t feel upset when Daniil dies – it’s meant to happen.

Okay, so after I thought Daniil had passed on, things got weird. He didn’t go to heaven or anything, but ended up in this room made of mirrors, and there was a shadowy figure inside. I guess you’re supposed to talk to this shadow, and then follow whatever it tells you to do to get back to the real world. It’s a pretty trippy setup, honestly!

Regardless of your familiarity with the location, the game begins with Daniil waking up in the Stillwater guest house. You’ll have a chance to look around the house before going upstairs to find and meet Eva.

After speaking with Eva, you can now see the past using the clock.

The events you experience with Daniil change depending on the day you select. For instance, if you choose Day 2, you’ll advance to Day 3, where Daniil is said to be opening a hospital.

However, if the Bachelor selects Day 4, it allows him to alter the events of the current day (Day 5) and essentially relive Day 4.

How To Pass The Time In Pathologic 3

In Pathologic 3, you’re not limited to just revisiting the past – you can also fast-forward time. To do this, go to the top floor of the guest house and locate Daniil’s bed.

Interact with the Time Skip feature, then choose which hour you wish to skip to.
