How to Trigger Recursive Destruction in Marvel Rivals

Enjoying Marvel Rivals’ Recursive Destruction offers a thrilling, fast-paced experience in the realm of hero shooters. With Season 1, fresh battlefields are introduced, including the renowned avenues of New York City. Our mission is to cause Recursive Destruction, and Midtown Manhattan is our main objective. To do this, we must hop on the subway.

I’m not sure if Marvel Rivals is free-to-play shooter or disguised as a Sherlock Holmes game. Instead of destroying opponents with my powers, the game keeps asking me to solve mysteries by using my detective skills. In addition, Midnight Features is new for Season 1 and requires you to activate Spider-Man’s Spider Tracer ability repeatedly, ten times in total.

A single goal, not accompanied by another, is referred to as the Task of Triple Recursive Destruction. Fortunately, we’ve solved the puzzle, so there’s no need for further investigation with your magnifying glass.

How to Use Recursive Destruction in Marvel Rivals

Enter a match in Midtown, preferably a round of Convoy, then navigate right on the D-Pad for PlayStation and Xbox consoles, or press the ‘B’ key on PC systems to expose buildings with Recursive Destruction markings. Inflict enough damage on these structures and they will revert back to their original shape.

Check out this complete guide showing you what to do in Rivals:

  1. Boot up Marvel Rivals.
  2. Find a quick match and wait for the Midtown map—or pick an LTM featuring Midtown.
  3. Wait until you get to the second round of Convoy, for instance.
  4. Use Chrono Vision during the match to highlight Recursive Destruction-eligible buildings.
  5. Press right on either the PlayStation or Xbox controller d-pad to use Chrono Vision, or B on PC.
  6. Applicable buildings are highlighted in red.
  7. Cause enough damage to the object or building, and it eventually rebuilds itself to dynamically change the map’s construction.
  8. Do this three times to tick off the “Who Needs Damage Control?” objective.

What is Recursive Destruction in Marvel Rivals?

Recursive Destruction essentially rewinds time and undoes the damage done to a building or object.

In Midtown, the dilapidated Iron Man debris serves as a striking illustration. Inflict sufficient destruction upon this pile of deteriorated rubble, and you’ll activate the Recursive Destruction mechanism. This self-destructing wreckage miraculously reverses itself, undergoing a rapid renovation process to repair and restore the building in mere seconds—transforming the scene into an entirely fresh battleground.

As for that topic, it’s worth noting that it’s not quite as adaptable as Battlefield 4, but it’s an interesting touch nonetheless, and you’ll find similar features in various places.

Who Needs Damage Control Reward in Marvel Rivals

Completing “Who Needs Damage Control?” for the first time grants you 100 Chrono Tokens within Marvel Rivals.

With Chrono Tokens, you can redeem Battle Pass prizes and enhance your in-game wardrobe with cosmetic items. Finishing a mission will adjust the difficulty level for future occurrences of “Triple Triggering of Recursive Destruction,” but there are no additional rewards provided after that point.

Were you aware that Chrono Vision is part of Marvel Rivals? Are you eager for the game to include more environmental alterations similar to Battlefield 4’s Levolution feature?

Marvel Rivals is still growing, with plans for a new comic book series and popular streamer Shroud expressing interest in founding a Marvel Rivals Esports team, demonstrating his strong affinity for the game.
