After a long wait, ARC Raiders is now available! The game offers exciting battles against both ARC Machines and other players, and it’s even more fun when you team up with a friend. The good news is that ARC Raiders supports cross-platform play, meaning you can play with friends regardless of what system they’re using. Here’s how to enable crossplay and connect with friends on different platforms.

How to Enable Crossplay in ARC Raiders

To play with friends on different gaming systems in ARC Raiders, you’ll need to enable Crossplay first. You can find this setting in the game’s options menu – it’s easy to miss, as it doesn’t appear automatically when you start the game for the first time. Turning on Crossplay is necessary before you and your friends can team up and explore Topside together, venturing beyond Speranza.

However, you can still enable Crossplay once you’ve landed in the main menu. Here’s how to do it.

  1. Click on the settings icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen, right under the Play button.
  2. Head into the first tab called “Gameplay.”
  3. Scroll down, and you’ll see the “Crossplay” setting right under the Online section.
  4. Crossplay might be turned on by default, but if it’s not, simply turn it on.

Here, players can switch their game region in ARC Raiders to improve their connection and reduce lag during matches.

How to Add, Invite, or Join Friends in ARC Raiders (Find Embark ID)

Okay, so I’ve got Crossplay turned on, which is awesome! Now I need to get my friends playing with me. First, they need to add me as a friend in the game. It all works through something called the Embark ID, so I had to find mine and send it to them so they could add me to their friend’s list. It’s pretty straightforward once you know about the ID!

Follow the method below to add friends in ARC Raiders.

  1. Click on the “+” Icon over the Play button next to your display picture to enter the friend/party menu.
  2. From here, click on the “Manage Embark ID” button in the bottom-left section to open an Embark ID management portal.
  3. You’ll arrive at a screen where you’ll be required to log into either a Steam, Epic Games, PlayStation, or Xbox account.
  4. Once you’ve completed the sign-in process, you’ll be taken to the Embark ID portal.

You can find your unique Embark ID in the portal under “Display Name.” It looks something like “USERNAME#1234.” Share this ID with your friends – even if they’re on different gaming systems (this is called Crossplay) – so they can send you a friend request. After you accept, you’ll be able to play together!

If you know friends’ Embark IDs, you can easily add them in ARC Raiders. Just click the “Add Friends” button in the top-right corner of the friends menu, enter their ID, and then click “OK” to send a friend request.
