Most of the characters in Marvel Cosmic Invasion are available to play right away. However, four characters need to be unlocked first. This guide will show you exactly how to unlock all of them so you can use every character in the game.
If you’d prefer to avoid spoilers, you’ll unlock all characters in Marvel Cosmic Invasion by playing through the campaign – and you’ll have them all before the very last mission.
How to Unlock All Characters in Marvel Cosmic Invasion
Complete Campaign Missions
You’ll unlock characters as you progress through the Marvel Cosmic Invasion campaign. Each character becomes available after you finish certain missions. Here’s a breakdown of which characters you’ll get and how, and you should be able to unlock them all within a few hours of playing.
| Character | How to Unlock |
| Phoenix | Complete Blue Area of the Moon (Mission 7) |
| Venom | Complete Destromundo (Mission 8/9) |
| Phyla-Vell | Complete Hala (Mission 11) |
| Silver Surfer | Complete Fort Galactus (Mission 13/14) |
If you unlock a character by playing through the campaign, you’ll also be able to use them in Arcade Mode. This mode challenges you to beat all the stages of Marvel Cosmic Invasion with a limited number of lives and no ability to save your progress. Arcade Mode also features modifiers that you can unlock in the Cosmic Vault, letting you customize how you play.
Which Characters Should You Use in Marvel Cosmic Invasion?
Image by William Parks / Game Rant Every character in Marvel Cosmic Invasion has unique abilities and drawbacks, so the best ones for you will depend on how you like to play. For example, if you enjoy close-range combat, She-Hulk might be a great choice, while someone who prefers long-distance fighting might like Rocket Raccoon better. Still, it’s worth learning how to play as everyone, and here’s why:
- The biggest reasons to play all the characters are achievements, as there are achievements associated with using each of the character’s abilities. Additionally, there is an achievement for beating the game with every character, and one for reaching ultimate team level, the latter of which requires players to spend quite a bit of time playing as every hero.
- Players who enjoy customization will also want to play as every hero, as each one has a new palette that is unlocked when they reach Level 10.
