As a seasoned adventurer who’s spent countless hours traversing the digital landscapes of various RPGs, I must say that Wayfinder has truly captured my heart with its diverse cast of characters and engaging gameplay mechanics. The variety in playstyles offered by these heroes is nothing short of impressive, making each expedition feel unique and exciting.
In the game Wayfinder, there’s an impressive array of playstyles due mainly to its roster of playable characters. Each player in Wayfinder possesses unique abilities, allowing them to discover a character that aligns with their preferred combat style.
To utilize each character in your expedition within the game of Wayfinder, players must initially discover and free them first. While they are relatively simple to obtain, understanding the conditions for unlocking them may seem a bit perplexing at times. Here’s how you can set every character free in Wayfinder:
How to Get All Characters in Wayfinder
In the game ‘Wayfinder’, a total of eight characters, or heroes, have been introduced so far, and all can be unlocked exclusively through gameplay. While most are relatively easy to obtain, some may require either good fortune, proficient skills, or a combination of both.
- Wingrave: Starting character. Pick first, or unlock later via the main quest.
- Niss: Same as Wingrave. Pick her first, or get her later by doing the main quest.
- Silo: Same as the previous two.
- Kyros: Open Gloom chests in Void Dungeons.
- Senja: Find and defeat a Deceiver chest in any dungeon.
- Grendel: Defeat the Bloodspawn Boss.
- Lora: Complete the Trial of Lingering Light.
- Venomess: Defeat Night’s Maw, the giant wurm in the Highlands.
You can unlock the vast majority of the cast just by doing the main quest line. The outliers here are Senja and Venomess — both rely heavily on luck, but the latter also involves fighting a boss with some very specific requirements.
How to Unlock Senja in Wayfinder
In this game, I’ve found that the way to acquire Senja is by locating a sneaky creature known as a Deceiver. These Deceivers mimic ordinary wooden chests found in dungeons, but once you open them, they transform into monsters! Remember, any large wooden chest you come across in a dungeon could potentially be a Deceiver. Additionally, I’ve noticed that Deceivers from random events don’t yield Senja’s Summoning Stone.
If you’re having no luck finding Deceivers at all, then you can alternatively get Senja’s Summoning Stone by beating Grand Deceiver Maras later down the story.
How to Unlock Venomess in Wayfinder
To defeat Venomess, you must first conquer Night’s Maw, a colossal creature residing in the Highlands area resembling a boss from Genshin Impact. This fearsome beast can be found in a cave close to the Codex Halls. In order to lure out Night’s Maw, you’ll require two pieces of Wurm Bait. These precious items are hidden within treasure mounds scattered throughout the Highlands. Keep in mind that these mounds aren’t common, and not every one of them will contain Wurm Bait. For a higher chance of finding it, search near ruins or goblin camps.
Fighting Night’s Maw isn’t extremely challenging, yet its health pool is approximately 200,000 points, and the battle time is limited to just 10 minutes. To increase your chances of success, it’s wise to bring along your most powerful character when attempting this boss fight.
