For over forty years, the Super Mario Bros. series has created a huge cast of characters. Because of this, many Mario spin-off games have incredibly large character lists. Mario Tennis Fever is no different, launching with a whopping 38 playable characters! The roster includes both well-known favorites like Waluigi and Rosalina, as well as some lesser-seen characters like Dry Bowser and Petey Piranha.
Like many other Mario sports games, you’ll need to unlock most of the characters in Mario Tennis Fever. There are 20 unlockable characters in all. The game does tell you how to unlock them on the character selection screen, but their names and pictures are hidden, which could be confusing if you’re not familiar with all the Mario characters.
