Galactic Cafe’s ‘The Stanley Parable’ is one of the finest and most unique indie games from the 2010s, and its original version remains engaging even today. Although meta-stories are prevalent now, this timeless classic deftly explores the concept with great humor, while ensuring a fulfilling experience that isn’t solely reliant on jokes. The ‘Ultra Deluxe Edition’ by Crows Crows Crows brought the game to consoles, but PC players should also consider checking it out. Unlike a simple remaster or remake, ‘Ultra Deluxe’ significantly extends the initial release, acting almost as a sequel.
Completing a single game session might be swift, but players should ponder over replaying the game to discover the numerous conclusions it offers. Unraveling every ending in The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe, however, can prove challenging. Here’s a breakdown of all possible scenarios that lead to an ending.
Available Endings Before the Two Doors Room
The Reluctance Ending
In simpler terms, The Reluctant or Cowardly Conclusion involves the player merely shutting the door of Room 427. A brief and concise exchange follows between the Narrator and the character Stanley, implying that Stanley’s actions are cowardly, before the game restarts.
Reaching this conclusion may seem straightforward, but it’s surprisingly elusive for players. There are no additional lines of dialogue if a player arrives here with their bucket.
The Heaven Ending

To unlock the “Heaven Ending,” players must engage with specific screens across various gameplay sessions. When executed properly, the concluding screen swaps Stanley’s monitor in Room 427 during a fresh playthrough, implying that this ending can be encountered from the outset of a new game session.
Additional details about the monitor positions are available in the “Heaven Ending” guide for The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe Edition. There’s no additional dialogue provided when the player carries the bucket to this ending.
Out of Map Ending

You can step beyond the game’s boundaries by exiting Stanley’s office and making your way towards Desk 434 in the initial open-plan room. An unusual accomplishment or trophy associated with the game “Stanley Parable” is earned when the player persistently jumps, but it’s quite straightforward to maneuver Stanley onto the desk using a chair instead.
After being set up, Stanley can be directed towards the window, leading him into the blank expanse outside. The narrator then queries whether the player has grown tired of the metaphorical joke by now.
Picking “YES” will lead to the narrator singing a humorous tune about Stanley, while opting for “NO” will result in a more contemplative commentary from the narrator.
The Whiteboard Ending

Sometimes, the route to the Two Doors Room may vary in The Stanley Parable because of its partially random map layouts. Instead of exiting Stanley’s office by going straight, turning right, straight again, and then left, the room arrangement could significantly differ from this pattern.
At times, you might find yourself going directly to the Two Doors Room, or perhaps the route will lead in reverse. Alternatively, the outer office could sport a blue theme instead of being overly illuminated.

Stepping out of Stanley’s office and entering Room 426, the player encounters the Whiteboard Conclusion. Interacting with a unique box located at the bottom right corner of the whiteboard will trigger dog barking audio. There are no additional Narrator dialogues or alternate Bucket Endings in this scenario.
All Left Door Ending Paths
The Insane Ending

Upon reaching the Two-Door Chamber, choose the door on your left. Proceed by descending the staircase. This action propels Stanley into a confounding maze of interconnected rooms, with the Guide subtly guiding the player through the peculiar scenery.
From here on, the journey essentially transforms into an interactive cinematic sequence, concluding with a fresh finale showcasing a novel figure named Mariella.
The Escape Pod Ending

Among all the conclusions in the game “Stanley Parable,” the Escape Pod route is unique as it makes the Narrator vanish. Choosing the left door and ascending the stairs will lead you to the Boss’s Office. However, the player must swiftly step inside before stepping back out of the room.
Proper execution ensures that the double doors seal shut for good, isolating Stanley from the office. Simultaneously, the Narrator’s voice fades away. From here on, the player must retrace their steps to Room 427 and proceed through the freshly accessible office entrance.
The Press Conference Ending

Upon reaching the Two Doors Room as a movie-loving enthusiast, I chose the path to the left, climbed the winding staircase that led me to the Boss’s Office. The Narrator shared a secret code with Stanley (2845), which I diligently entered on the keypad. To my delight, an elevator materialized before me. Initially descending, I soon found myself equipped with the ability to press the buttons once more and make my way back up this mysterious lift.
As I’ve made my way through numerous trials and tribulations, it seems I’m headed for a fresh destination. The road is adorned with witty references and motivational signs alluding to a future press conference of mine, with an enthusiastic crowd standing by, ready to cheer me on.
The Museum Ending

As a cinephile delving through this cinematic journey, you’ll find The Museum Ending isn’t immediately within reach but follows a clear trajectory. Start by choosing the pair of doors ahead, then ascend the stairway that beckons, enter the office of the film’s central figure, and unlock the hidden door. Descend via the elevator, and voilà! The path ahead will fork, presenting another choice to be made.
Following the corridor marked as “Escape” might lead Stanley to a machine resembling a fatal one, however, fortunately, it comes to a halt before causing harm.
In a fresh twist, a new storyteller, this time a woman, saves Stanley and guides the player towards a museum exhibit detailing the evolution of “The Stanley Parable”, filled with fascinating tidbits and behind-the-scenes information.
“Bottom of the Mind Control Facility” Ending

Initially, head towards Stanley’s workplace. After encountering two entryways, take a left turn. Ascend the staircase, then enter the Boss’s office. Once you locate the concealed entrance, proceed to descend in the elevator, ending up in the Mind Control Facility.
Instead of sticking to the catwalks, you could hop onto chairs and desks with the lightbulb control, potentially tumbling from the walkway into the void beneath. This was an unintended glitch in the original game, but the Narrator reveals that it opens up a new route for the player’s adventure.
The Countdown Ending

Reaching the Final Countdown might seem straightforward, but its consequences could lead players astray. Begin by going to the left from Stanley’s office, passing through the two doors, climbing the stairs, and entering the Boss’s office. After unlocking the hidden passageway, make your way down the elevator and into the Mind Control Facility.

Traverse the catwalks until you reach two switches, then press the switch labeled ‘ON’. For more information on the specifics of this final path, consult the Countdown Ending guide in The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe manual.
The Freedom Ending

In order to experience the true conclusion of The Stanley Parable game, one must adhere to the instructions given by the Narrator at all times. This involves taking the correct path: starting at the two doors, climbing the stairs, entering the Boss’s Office, descending in an elevator, passing through the Mind Control Facility, and finally pressing the ‘OFF’ button.
Reaching this conclusion signifies victory over the game, granting the player an accomplishment or trophy. Achieving the Freedom Ending via speedrunning also offers the same rewards to the player.
All Right Door Ending Paths
The Confusion Ending

As you enter the Two Doors Room, proceed through the right door that leads you to the Employee Lounge. Exit the lounge, then find the open door on your left and ride the elevator down.
This naturally brings about the preferred outcome, though for a deeper understanding, consult The Confusion Ending Guide.
The Powerful/Cold Feet Ending

Ignoring the Narrator’s guidance could result in Stanley finding his way to the Cargo Room. This room can be reached by walking through the door on the right and proceeding directly after passing the Employee Lounge.
Stepping away from the freight elevator and plummeting down to the floor below instantly kills Stanley, as the narrator sarcastically remarks. While the exact words differ in each ending, the tragic result remains consistent.
The Vent Ending

In the updated Ultra Deluxe version, you’ll discover a fresh feature called “The Vent Ending,” which can be accessed upon reaching the Cargo Room. To get there from Stanley’s initial office, simply go through either of the two doors and continue straight on until you reach the Cargo Room.
Instead of taking the elevator, you could maneuver Stanley over the left fence with a plank balanced on the crates, then squeeze into the neighboring vent. This ending can be more easily achieved when searching for the mini-Stanley toy figures.
The Phone Ending

The sequence of events in the game is straightforward: Ignore any deviations from the narrator’s instructions, as they guide you towards a fresh room. At the crossroads with Two Doors, proceed straight ahead to the Cargo Room, hop onto the cargo lift, and be patient until it reaches its destination on the other side.
Upon activating it, I’ll proceed ahead until a space appears. Stepping into the opening reveals a telephone. Interacting with this device transports me unexpectedly to what seems like my home, but a shocking twist awaits me there.
The Real Person Ending

As a dedicated cinephile, I’ve noticed that this movie’s finale echoes an earlier phone scene, but with a twist that might not immediately occur to the casual viewer. Instead of picking up the phone when it rings, if you choose to unplug it instead, you’ll leave the Narrator scratching his head in confusion.
Following a brief, imagined public service announcement, the Speaker instructs Stanley to return to the Room with Two Doors. From then on, there’s a sequence of repeated gameplay scenarios as the Speaker attempts to reclaim the misplaced narrative.
The Zending

Following the narrative, you can step out from the cargo lift onto the level below, where a catwalk awaits. Proceeding along this new route uncovers two doors – one in red and one in blue.
According to the guidance given by the narrator, passing through the red door presents a fresh route for the player, unveiling a chamber bathed in ethereal light and resonating with music. Exiting this final path can be achieved by retraceing steps to a set of stairs and repeatedly leaping down, accompanied by humorous and dark comments from the narrator.
The Art Ending

You’ll reach either this conclusion or the Games’ finale only by choosing the Blue Door over the Red Door as your path.
The Storyteller repeatedly directs Stanley towards the colored doors, specifically the Red one, and persists in this instruction; however, on the third occasion, the Blue Door will shift to a position behind Stanley, yet it remains accessible for him to enter.
Following the unexplored areas on the blank map, the Storyteller will concoct a creative game that challenges The Stanley Parable. In this game, the player must repeatedly press a red button for a span of four hours. Despite being tedious and repetitive, dedicated players can manage it successfully.
Approximately two hours into the storyline, the narrator will unveil another button located at some distance that must also be activated. Following four consecutive hours of success, a scene will unfold displaying the “soul of divine craftsmanship.
The Games Ending

Over and over again, going through the Blue Door and losing at the Baby Game will make the Storyteller criticize Stanley, then lead him to another person’s game instead. In the games Firewatch and Rocket League, we get a quick peek, but the Storyteller soon changes his mind and leaves Stanley stranded in a damaged office map.
“Ultra Deluxe Edition” Endings
New Content Ending

After the player has witnessed multiple endings, there’s a chance they’ll stumble upon a new adventure. When this event occurs, a door marked as 416 in the hallway preceding the Two Doors Room will transform to say “NEW CONTENT.” Venturing into this door initiates an automated path that takes Stanley on a compact tour of the storyline of “The Stanley Parable.
Skip Button Ending

The game will guide the player to a fresh area known as “The Memory Zone,” reminiscent of the Museum Ending’s content. Continuing along the path will ultimately unveil a chamber housing a ‘Skip’ button.
Repeatedly pushing it skips the narrator’s speech, resulting in extended intervals. After multiple pushes, the ceiling eventually caves in, providing a way out for Stanley.
The SEQUEL Ending

Following the intentionally underwhelming “NEW CONTENT” conclusion, you’ll find yourself walking through hallways again. Eventually, a glowing sign will appear for Stanley, passing through which will reveal a fresh route that the Storyteller has crafted.
This reveals a route leading to what seems like The Stanley Parable 2. In this journey, there’s an “Investor Expo” room filled with props that are expected to feature in the main storyline. Players can examine each piece at their leisure. However, once they’ve completed their exploration, the Narrator will restart the game including the newly added items.
The Whole Hole Ending

During your exploration of the exhibition for “The Stanley Parable 2“, you can unlock a different conclusion by navigating towards the Infinite Hole area. Keep in mind that persistence is key since the outcome depends on the player repeatedly falling into the abyss until Stanley eventually reaches the bottom.
After this, Stanley can return to the top and continue exploring, but leaping back down will shorten his fall duration. Continue jumping into the pit until it’s just a few feet deep. The exasperated Narrator scolds Stanley for damaging the pit, but staying put will cause it to grow deeper over time.

As you play, various interactive elements will progressively emerge, enabling you to adjust viewpoints, visual effects, backdrops, and character features at your leisure. You are free to experiment with these options as much as you like before restarting the game from its beginning.
The Figurines Ending

As an avid fan, I’m thrilled about the opportunity to hunt for collectibles in The Stanley Parable 2 Expo! These collectibles take the form of miniature figurines that resemble our beloved character, Stanley. Each figurine is hidden at unique locations, and a separate guide helps you find them all. Once you’ve gathered all six figurines, an exciting twist awaits – when you reset, you’ll be led to The Figurines Ending automatically!
The Stanley Parable Reassurance Bucket Endings

In the refreshed version of “The Stanley Parable“, an abundance of fresh content has been added to complement the original game’s meta endings. Notably, the paths leading to these endings may yield different results based on whether players decide to include the “Stanley Parable Reassurance Bucket” in their journey.

Distinct instances such as the Enhanced Escape Vessel Finale or the Beyond Boundaries Conclusion, trigger an unexpectedly grim narrative if you pick up the pail and move it beyond the map borders.
Instead of the bucket speaking on its own accord, it seems to share its troubling history with Stanley, ultimately meeting an end by being stabbed with a knife. This unexpected finale might be startling and intense for certain players, much like many other instances where the bucket’s story takes an unconventional turn.
The Stanley Parable Epilogue

Uncovering the epilogue can be a bit of a challenge, aligning perfectly with the intricate narrative structure of The Stanley Parable. To reach it, players must cycle through the entire game multiple times, adjusting various controls like sliders and timing options along the way.
After multiple tries at restarting the game, a message on the screen will inform the player that a conversation will take place again. Upon reaching the main menu, an additional ‘Epilogue’ option will become available.
Choosing this option will result in a playable scenario, which is an alternative ending. With this selection, a new achievement or trophy has been unlocked as a reward.
