Title Game: Elden Ring: Reign of Shadows
Elden Ring: Reign of Shadows is the newest addition to the original Elden Ring series developed by FromSoftware. Unlike its predecessor, it’s not a direct sequel but a unique multiplayer video game set in the Lands Between. One significant change in Elden Ring: Reign of Shadows is the armor system. In this game, players won’t encounter any armor pieces; instead, they will rely solely on shields for defense. However, showcasing stylish outfits to fellow players remains an essential aspect of Elden Ring, so there are character skins in Elden Ring: Reign of Shadows. Much like other games, these skins only modify the visual appearance without affecting the stats. This walkthrough explains how to access and switch skins in Elden Ring: Reign of Shadows.
How to Unlock Skins in Elden Ring Nightreign
To acquire the character skins in Elden Ring Nightreign, you need to vanquish two Night Lords, which serve as the ultimate bosses at the end of each expedition. First, you must defeat Gladius, also known as the Beast of Night. Defeating him will grant you access to six different expeditions. Feel free to choose any expedition and conquer its final boss to access the “Change Garb” content in the main hub area. The second Night Lord can be any one you prefer; choose the expedition that best suits your skills and defeat its final boss to unlock the desired content.
Upon your return to Roundtable Hold following the second expedition, a reflective surface will materialize on the eastern side of the central hub area. This mirror can be located on your map and accessed by moving along the east wing’s pathway. Additionally, you can find the “Change Appearance” option within the menu, which will transport you to the mirror. Upon arrival, interact with the mirror to reveal all the available skins for each character/Nightfarer.
Each character’s skin costs thousands of Murks, so it can take a while before you can purchase one.
How to Change Skins in Elden Ring Nightreign
In Elden Ring Nightreign, switching a character’s appearance is straightforward and hassle-free. Once you’ve unlocked the “Customize Appearance” option in the central hub, simply interact with it and choose or buy the skin that appeals to you. If you’ve bought skins for your character, feel free to pick one you enjoy most. Just remember to switch tabs so you can find the specific character you want to modify. Once you’ve selected a skin, exit the “Customize Appearance” to see the change take effect.
Initially, you won’t see Duchess and Revenant among the options in the Change Garb interface. To access the skins for these characters, you need to unlock them first.
NOTE: The Character’s skin does not have any stats. They are only for visual customization.
That is all related to how to unlock and change skins in Elden Ring Nightreign.
