As a seasoned Descendant with countless hours under my belt, I must say that Implant Reactors are a godsend! However, they can be quite the enigma to those who haven’t delved deep into the game.

Incorporating the capacity to install Reactors significantly enhances the convenience of acquiring a functional Reactor within the game ‘The First Descendant’.

The issue is that Reactor Implants are poorly explained in-game and extremely resource-heavy if you do it wrong. Fear not, Descendant, and let me show you everything you need to know.

What Does “Implant Reactor” Mean In The First Descendant?

With Reactor Implants, you can equip an additional Weapon Attachment on any Reactor that you possess. This feature proves beneficial if you frequently change weapons while playing as your Descendant, as it allows you to maintain weapon mounting bonuses during these swaps.

To get started with installing Reactor Implants, you’ll need to accomplish a quick mission ahead of time. Luckily, this task is straightforward: simply have a conversation with the Descendant Instructor (the robot) in Albion. Once the discussion is over, the new crafting option will become accessible within the Workbench.

Remember that Reactor Implanting is a crucial late-stage task. I highly advise against using precious resources unless you have an almost flawless Reactor, as it’s extremely costly and resource-heavy.

Don’t bother with the mechanic until you reach Hard Mode and have a solid pool of Level 100 gear.

If finding it tough to access Hard Mode, consider utilizing one of the top characters in the game, such as Bunny.

The Implant Reactor procedure is exceptionally expensive, and you probably won’t have the required materials. You need 200 Precise Ion Accelerators and 2000 Ion Accelerators.

In Albion, you can create these items with Anais, but the construction period may differ based on the quality of your resources.

This is needlessly complex, but the fastest way to get everything is to build the 2000 Ion Accelerators using Solenoids. Then, build 100 Precise Ion Accelerators twice using Quantum Crystals.

These items serve as quite the substantial pit for gold, indeed. If you were to purchase all that I’ve listed, it would set you back an impressive 6 million coins.

If you’re hurting for Gold, make sure to run your Invasions, as you get 1.5 million for your first four daily. 400% Dungeons are also decent for currency and provide ETA Vouchers.

Gather all required items, then proceed to the Workbench near the Training Grounds. Select “Install Implant” option, but be aware that you can only attach implants to Gold-tier Reactors, which should be marked with a green checkmark if it’s your current reactor.

You cannot change your Optimization Condition, but you can add up to two more.

Instead of the one Reactor you have currently, you should opt for a different one from your inventory that will be used up during the process. By doing so, you’ll relinquish this Reactor, yet an imprint of its Mounting will be transferred onto the initial Reactor you selected.

You can Imprint any Reactor twice, which will give it three Mountings. Fortunately, all Imprints are the same price, although considering the ridiculous cost, they had better be!

In case you’re pondering which Weapon Mounts to choose, it’s largely dependent on your character’s build, however, top-tier firearms in the game are always a reliable pick.
