How to Unlock Lucemon in Digimon Story: Time Stranger

Lucemon is considered one of the strongest Digimon available in *Digimon Story: Time Stranger*. By making smart choices with their Partner Digimon, players can unlock this powerful evolution line relatively early in the game. Lucemon starts as a Rookie Digimon, but its stats are comparable to, and sometimes even exceed, those of fully evolved Ultimate Digimon. Because of this, it’s a great idea to obtain Lucemon early and train it to unlock its powerful Lucemon Fall Down mode.

Lucemon, who eventually evolves into Satamon, is a strong Digimon, especially later in the game thanks to Satamon’s powerful Burst Mode. Even as a Rookie, Lucemon is a Light-type Digimon and can learn a wide variety of elemental skills, including Water, Fire, Wind, Metal, and Lightning. This guide will show players how to add this formidable ally to their team.

How To Get Lucemon in Digimon Story: Time Stranger

Okay, so getting Lucemon in *Digimon Story: Time Stranger* took me a bit, but here’s how I did it. First, you need to get pretty far into the game – around Agent Level 5. Then, you’ve got a couple options. You can devolve one of your Patamon partners, or evolve a Poyomon into Tokomon. Once you *have* a Tokomon, the real work starts. You need to boost its Talent Potential up to 30, and then grind it until its Intelligence stat hits 430 or higher. I did this by both training and using INT Chips. To get that Talent Potential up, I either used other Digimon as materials for Loading Enhancement, or I just used a Talent Awakening Chip. If you do everything right, a new evolution path for Lucemon will appear at the bottom of the Tokomon line, and here’s how it looks…

  • Agent Rank 5 or Higher
  • 430 INT or greater
  • 30 Talent or greater

If you follow this Digimon evolution path, Tokomon will become Lucemon, a powerful Rookie Digimon with the potential to become an Ultimate level Digimon. Lucemon will then evolve into Lucemon Fall Down once you reach Agent Rank 7 and meet the stat requirements of 920 maximum SP and 1820 INT. While the stat requirements are fairly easy to achieve – Lucemon is naturally stronger than most Digimon – reaching Agent Rank 7 takes a significant amount of playtime.

Players can now add a very strong Light-type Digimon with Vaccine attributes to their team. Lucemon is both powerful and adaptable, and its attack power can be further increased, or it can become a top-tier support character, depending on its Personality. In *Digimon Story: Time Stranger*, Lucemon can learn almost any Skill Disc, including useful support abilities like Aura (which heals the whole team) and skills that weaken enemies.

Lucemon’s special Follow-up Attack is incredibly powerful when used at the right moment. It has a 70% chance to inflict a variety of status effects – like poison or elemental damage from attacks such as Wolkenapalm, Frozen Bullet, and Holly Light – on all enemy Digimon. Because Lucemon deals mostly magical damage, focus on increasing his INT, SPI, and SP stats. He only has two equipment slots, so prioritize Vigor Attachments to help compensate for his weak defenses.
