How to Unlock Painting in Heartopia

I’m really excited about Heartopia! As you level up, you get access to so many more things to do, and I’m currently tackling this quest called Bushstroke Whimsy. It’s a bit of a long one, honestly – there are a lot of steps and tasks you need to finish before you can actually complete it, but I’m determined to see it through!

Brushstroke Whimsy is a guide that teaches you the basics of painting and drawing in Heartopia. It walks you through how to start and finish the Brushstroke Whimsy quest, allowing you to begin creating your own artwork.

How to Complete Brushstroke Whimsy in Heartopia

To begin the Brushstroke Whimsy quest, you first need to reach level 14. The quickest way to level up is by completing your daily Resident Requests. Once you’re level 14, speak with Dorothee. She’ll give you a brief introduction to painting and ask you to go see Ka Ching, which will officially start the quest.

After you locate Ka Ching, purchase a Drawing Board from her for 2,000 Gold. Then, place the Drawing Board anywhere you like and follow the in-game instructions to start painting.

Despite the slightly grainy image, Heartopians have lots of ways to express their creativity. You can choose any color, change how thick your lines are using the tools on the side, and even add pre-made shapes like stars, circles, and hearts.

You’ll find an eraser under the shapes to correct any errors. Feel free to add fun details like trees and candies! Don’t forget to save your artwork when you’re finished, so you can continue with the quest.

How to View the Gallery in Heartopia

Once you’ve finished your painting, go back and speak with Ka Ching. She’ll suggest you check out the gallery, but she won’t tell you where it is. You’ll find it right on your Drawing Board – just approach the board and look for a picture icon.
