How To Unlock Skins & Change Outfit In Elden Ring Nightreign

In the beginning of Elden Ring: Nightreign, every player starts off with a standard look and outfit for each character. Regrettably, you can’t customize your costume within Nightreign until you’ve achieved a specific level of advancement.

In order to switch costumes, players of Nightreign need to initially unlock the Dresser, followed by obtaining Murk during Expeditions, which can then be spent on Outfits. Nightreign offers a variety of unlockable costumes, many of which are based on renowned characters and armor sets from the Dark Souls series. This guide provides instructions on how to alter appearances in Nightreign and suggests some methods for acquiring additional outfits to customize all eight Nightfarers.

How To Unlock The Dresser & Change Garb In Elden Ring Nightreign

In Elden Ring Nightreign, you don’t initially have the power to alter your character’s appearance. However, by successfully completing two Expeditions, Nightreign players can unlock the ability to customize their looks and obtain new outfits for every Nightfarer.

Initially, you can join the Tricephalos (Gladius, Beast of Night) Expedition. Once you defeat this initial Nightlord, you will gain the ability to select any of the other six when queuing for an Expedition. Upon completing your second Expedition and defeating your second Nightlord, you’ll unlock a Dresser that can be found in Gideon Ofnir’s study, which is located down the hall from the statue where you can change your character.

By engaging with the dresser in Nightreign, you can alter your character’s look and gain access to fresh outfits and costumes for every Nightfarer, thereby unlocking them.

How To Unlock New Outfits & Costumes In Nightreign

Once you’ve successfully opened the Change Garb Dresser, players of Nightreign will gain instant access to two different outfits for each Nightfarer. Each pair of these sets, one for every Nightfarer, showcases unique armor designs and color schemes that reflect the motifs of “Dawn” and “Darkness”. In total, you’ll find 16 new armor sets available for purchase as soon as you acquire the power to switch costumes.

Access the Dresser and scroll through the list to unlock these new outfits with Murk:

  • Dawn: 14,000 Murk, primarily gold or white with light accents
  • Darkness: 35,000 Murk, primarily black or deep purple with dark accents

As your journey in Remembrance unfolds and you triumphantly conclude Expeditions against the Nightlords, you’ll gain access to additional costumes for each Nightfarer. For instance, conquering the game’s final boss will grant you the opportunity to purchase two new outfits inspired by Dark Souls, one for each character.

In the game Nightreign, once you’ve unveiled new armor sets and appearances, you’ll need to use Murk to be able to wear them. This is similar to how it works with the Dawn and Darkness outfits – even though you’ve unlocked them, you still have to buy them to wear them.
