As a seasoned Call of Duty gamer with years of experience under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of nostalgia and excitement at the news that the iconic STG-44 Assault Rifle is making a comeback in Modern Warfare 3 (MW3) and Warzone Season 5. This fan-favorite weapon has dominated the battlefields of past games, including Vanguard and the Caldera era of Warzone, and I have no doubt it will do the same once again.
As a dedicated gamer, I’m thrilled to share that I’ll soon have the opportunity to add a fresh new weapon to my arsenal in Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 5: the revamped STG Assault Rifle! This iconic weapon from the past is getting a contemporary update, allowing me to experience its legendary power with a modern twist.
During Vanguard and Caldera’s time in Warzone, this popular rifle stood out as a powerful meta-choice. It’s likely to reign supreme once more in both battle royale and multiplayer.
If you’re wondering how to get your hands on it, here’s how to unlock the STG in Warzone and MW3.
How to get STG Assault Rifle in Warzone and MW3
Starting July 24, finishing Sector 7 in Season 5’s Battle Pass will grant you access to the STG. Fortunately, this reward is among the free items available, allowing you to earn it without having to buy the Premium Battle Pass.
The Assault Rifle will be the last reward in the Sector, obtainable only after spending four tokens on smaller rewards. Once you’ve exhausted those tokens, you may use one more token to permanently add the assault rifle to your collection.
ActivisionThe STG is one of four new weapons in Season 5.The STG-44 is undeniably a legendary weapon in Call of Duty, with fans recalling its presence as far back as 2007’s World at War and more recently in 2021’s Vanguard. This gun has ruled the roost in almost every game it has graced, and according to the developers, it’s poised to continue its reign of dominance in MW3.
“In Season 5, they described the rifle that marked the beginning of assault rifles as a worldwide standard. It’s fully automatic and uses 7.92x33mm bullets. This weapon packs a punch, they added. The force of its shots results in a distinctive recoil, which, while noticeable, can be easily managed for precise shooting.”
Additionally, they uncovered several accessories that would enhance its performance in the metaverse upon entry. These included the 60-Round Mag extensions for greater ammunition capacity and the JAK BFB Aftermarket Recoil Reducer to minimize kickback.
Time will reveal the position of the STG in the meta after its introduction in Season 5, particularly in Warzone. Excitement among fans is high as they look forward to testing it out, but dethroning established weapons like the Holger 26, SVA 545, or MCW won’t be simple.
