How to Unlock the Default Air Filter Upgrade in Revenge of the Savage Planet

On the adventure titled “Revenge of the Savage Planet“, players journey through various planets and distinct ecosystems, where fresh perils and hazards await at every turn. While investigating the initial planet, Stellaris Prime, explorers will encounter one such hazard: the noxious vapors enveloping Chuggler’s Swamp. Prolonged exposure to these harmful gases will result in ongoing damage to players. To access areas with toxic fumes, players must first acquire the Default Air Filter upgrade.

Unlocking the Default Air Filter Upgrade in Revenge of the Savage Planet

Players will gain access to the Default Air Filter upgrade for their suit upon arriving at Zenithian Rift in Revenge of the Savage Planet. Upon entering this planet, they’ll initiate the “Breathe In, Don’t Choke” quest, where they must locate a supply crate containing an air filter.

  1. So, head forward and enter an icy cavern that leads to the Brrrts Frozen Grotto.
  2. Use the Stomp ability in the middle of the area to break the cracked ground and enter the Depths of Trrn.
  3. Make sure to fill up on Lava before heading deeper into the cave as you’ll need to use your pump gun to burn spider webs.
  4. Once you enter an open area with enemies, you’ll spot a few floating rocks over gysers with a green hue. Use the Stomp ability on one of these rocks to crack the ground.
  5. Once the ground cracks, the room will fill with poisonous gas, and the AI Assistant will update the quest by helping you find an Air Filter upgrade.
  6. Follow the quest marker to arrive at the Plyxor’s Shaft. Use the grind rails to reach the top of this area and exit into the Bilodeau’s Flating Isle.
  7. Follow the quest marker to reach the huge floating verticle island in the middle. You’ll need to follow the power cables and shoot three buttons located on the Isle to open up the supply crate.
  8. Once the supply crate is opened, claim your Default Air Filter upgrade.

Even though you’ve successfully acquired the Air Filter enhancement for your gear, it won’t be of any benefit until you also unlock the subsequent upgrade known as Toxic Deshocker.

How to Get the Toxic Deshocker Upgrade for the Air Filter

Obtaining the Toxic Deshocker update is quite straightforward. Utilize the rails on the floating island’s side to ascend to the Summit of Ruin. Once there, bypass the enemies in the open area and venture into the cave ahead. Scan the bigger creature within for an update on your quest, which now involves capturing the Alpha Toxwin.

1. Aim for three to four shots directly at its central eye area. Once you’ve hit the critical spot, you should hear a distinct sound, indicating that the creature has been stunned or disoriented.

2. With your whip in hand, seize the dazed creature and return it to its enclosure back at Stellaris Prime.

3. To quickly return to your habitat up on Stellaris Prime, make your way to the teleporter situated atop the Summit of Ruin. The teleporter is positioned on higher ground for a convenient and swift travel option.

Inside your game’s main hub, delve into studying Alpha Toxwin. Upon finishing your research, you’ll gain access to the Toxic Deshocker upgrade. This upgrade requires 400 units of Aluminum, 525 Carbon, and 325 Silicon for crafting. After creating it using your 3D printer, you’ll be able to venture into previously unreachable locations in ‘Revenge of the Savage Planet’, as they were blocked by toxic gases.
