As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve got some exciting news to share! In the realm of Vampire Survivors, I’ve just learned that they’ve teamed up with Square Enix for an expansion inspired by their classic RPG series, SaGa. This collaboration has brought over a dozen fresh characters into the game, along with a pile of new items, evolutions, and other goodies. The best part? The Emerald Diorama DLC is completely free! However, some fellow Vampire Survivors players are finding it tricky to unlock the new stage. If you’re one of them, perhaps we can help each other figure it out!
For Vampire Survivors players, the Emerald Diorama expansion comes free and is readily available. However, there’s a significant hurdle that hinders novice players from diving straight into the SaGa DLC. To enter the SaGa expansion, they must traverse an existing map and uncover a hidden item as a prerequisite. Surprisingly, this essential item comes with a rather steep price tag.
How to Unlock Emerald Diorama in Vampire Survivors

To start the SaGa DLC within Vampire Survivors, gamers initially need to unveil the Emerald Diorama level. To do this, they’ll require a unique item named the Emerald Disk, which can be obtained from a covert merchant hidden in the Moongolow stage that originates from the base game. Players can then buy it from this secret vendor.
On the left side of the Moongolow level, you’ll find the merchant, who is clearly marked for easy identification among other special items. He’s selling the Emerald Disk for 50,000 gold, but be aware that he doesn’t offer any other products. This purchase is a one-time deal, so players won’t need to visit him again. However, remember to download the Emerald Diorama DLC before starting Vampire Survivors as it’s required for the merchant to appear. Some players might have overlooked this free expansion.
For players who find themselves low on funds and unable to purchase the Emerald Disk initially, it would be beneficial to start with the earlier levels in Vampire Survivors as they offer excellent opportunities for gold farming. At first, the 50,000 gold price tag may seem daunting, but with a bit of persistent grinding, players should be able to accumulate enough gold to afford the Emerald Disk over time.

Buying the Emerald Disk grants players permanent access to the Emerald Diorama stage within Vampire Survivors. This allows them to venture through the fresh map and gradually uncover methods to unlock every new SaGa character, as well as upgrade all the new weapons. While Emerald Diorama is a free addition, it offers plenty of content for fans of Vampire Survivors to delve into.
