When exploring deeper into the Vessel, you’ll find an elevator blocked by vines. This prevents access to certain areas until you clear the vines and free the elevator. This guide will quickly show you how to unlock it, making it easier to move around the Vessel.

How to Unlock the Obstructed Elevator in Mio: Memories in Orbit

In Mio: Memories in Orbit, you’ll find an elevator that links the Barn, Aviaries, and Bell Tower. However, it’s blocked by plants when you first encounter it. To travel easily between these areas, you’ll need to clear away the plants. We recommend starting at the Barn, which is highlighted on the map, to make following this guide simpler.

Before you continue, you need to unlock both the Harvester and Hairpin skills. You can earn the Harvester skill by defeating the Crow Automated Reaper boss, which is located at the top of the Haven area.

Go to the location shown on the map. You’ll need to navigate through Haven and Bell Tower Hall to find the path leading to the marked area.

When you reach the location, look upwards to find a place to use your grapple and some flowers growing on the wall. Use the grapple to climb, and collect the flowers to restore your energy.

When you get to the top of the path, you’ll find a small robot flipped over in some bushes. Continue to the left and use your grappling hook to swing across the contaminated water. After crossing the river, activate the flower bud to open a path that leads down.

Continue forward, and don’t forget to restore your health at the Nacre Basin. You’ll soon reach a room where you must fight all the enemies before you can continue.

Once you’ve dealt with the enemies, head to the left. Follow the path until you see a large plant – bounce off of it, and you’ll find a grapple point. Use the grapple to swing across and reach the area beyond the red bush.

After you cross over, continue heading to the left until you find the vines blocking the elevator in Mio: Memories in Orbit. Destroy the flower bud to clear the vines, and you’ll be able to use the elevator to travel between Level 0: Barn and Level 1: Aviaries.
