On January 14th, a big free update (version 3.0) arrived for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, just before the game received an upgrade for the Nintendo Switch 2. This update added a lot of new content for players to enjoy.
Okay, so you’re either just starting out in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, or you took a break and are getting back into it? Either way, I’ve got the lowdown on how to unlock the Resort Hotel. TopMob has all the details you need!
How to Unlock the Resort Hotel in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
You’ll need to progress quite a bit in the game and build up your island and house before you can unlock the Resort Hotel in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
New players will need to progress a bit before they can access the Resort Hotel and its features. However, players who have already spent a good amount of time playing New Horizons should be able to enjoy the new content right away, or unlock it very soon.
You’ll naturally unlock the Resort Hotel as you play the game, build up your island, and develop your town. Here’s a breakdown of the key steps to get there.
- Unlock Resident Services and gain access to the town rating system.
- Increase your town rating to 3 stars.
- Have K.K. Slider perform in your town.
- The following day, Isabelle will make an announcement informing players that the Resort Hotel is accessible.
- Head to the pier on the eastern side of the island to find the Resort Hotel and head inside.
What is The Resort Hotel in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
The 3.0 update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons added a Resort Hotel, offering players fresh things to do and new challenges to tackle.
In this game, you decorate hotel rooms for guests. You’ll be given a design theme and can either use suggested items or choose from all the decorations you’ve unlocked to create the perfect space.
You’ll also need to make a variety of items and display them on the pier so Kapp’n can tell other islands about your progress.
Finishing decorations at the hotel and completing the crafting quest will earn you tickets. You can use these tickets in the Hotel Resort shop, where new items are available regularly.
