How to Unlock the SR9 in Delta Force: A Guide

In the gripping world of Delta Force during Season Starfall, I found myself captivated by the SR9 – one of the freshly introduced weapons. It may not be extraordinary, but for those desiring to embody the designated marksman role, it serves as a reliable pick. If you’re a player who thrives in mid-to-long-range skirmishes, this rifle could prove to be an indispensable tool. However, before we can make it our own, we must first unlock this weapon to fully appreciate its potential.

In contrast to most weapons in Delta Force, acquiring the SR9 follows a distinct procedure. While it isn’t difficult to obtain, the process may seem reminiscent to enthusiasts of multiplayer first-person shooter games. Here’s a guide on how to unlock it.

How to Get The SR9 in Delta Force

In Warfare mode’s gameplay, the SR9 is initially inaccessible and is stored within the Armory, much like the Armory system in MW3. To acquire this weapon, simply accumulate 30 kills using Marksman Rifles. Once you reach the specified kill count, the SR9 will automatically become accessible for the Recon class without further action required.

By the way, just like in Delta Force, The Armory houses additional accessories for your weapons such as scopes, grips, and ammo magazines that can be unlocked. As more updates roll out, we can expect an expansion of the available weapons too.

Is The SR9 Any Good in Delta Force?

The SR9 performs fairly well, but not exceptionally so. On its own, it has a firing time of approximately 0.5 seconds and a maximum effective range of 90 meters. Equipped with the Resonant Sniper Rifle Suppressor, its performance improves significantly. It can bring down a target in 0.6 seconds from a distance of 130 meters with three body shots. By landing two headshots within this range, you can reduce the Time-to-Kill (TTK) to an impressive 0.33 seconds. However, achieving this in a realistic combat situation against moving targets can be quite challenging.

The rifle features a unique slot for attaching a Precision Trigger, upgrading its slow firing speed from 261 rounds per minute (RPM) to 307 RPM. This brings the SR9’s Time-To-Kill (TTK) closer to that of the PSG-1 at 0.44 seconds, yet it still doesn’t offer a significant advantage, considering the SR-25 fires at a quicker pace of 364 RPM and deals the same amount of damage.

In essence, both the SR-9 and PSG-1 perform similarly well, with a similar recoil pattern. However, the PSG-1 has an edge due to its greater number of attachment slots. Unfortunately, the SR-9’s stock is not removable, which means you can’t detach it for customization, and moreover, it’s ineligible for Delta Force’s calibration feature because the stock doesn’t qualify as an attachment.
