Yet, amidst the chaos, there’s a comforting sanctuary – the Theater of the Masks. This safe haven is a godsend for any gamer navigating through the soulslike genre, providing a much-needed respite from the horrors that lurk outside.
In the game, you can only access the central point, or hub, following the conquest of the initial stage. However, it remains inaccessible until your character, known as The Maskless One, successfully overcomes a specific boss named Zanni, who resides at the conclusion of the first storyline, Quinta.
How To Unlock The Theater Of The Masks Hub In Enotria: The Last Song
As a gamer in Enotria: The Last Song, I found myself on a quest to unveil the enigmatic Theater of the Mask hub. To do this, I needed to make substantial progress in the opening chapter, Quinta, and conquer Zanni, the initial Mask boss. My journey commenced at the Shores of Quinta, leading me through the Lower Commons, the Monastery of Maja, and various other regions until I encountered the School of Zanni. A mysterious figure named Pulcinella would suddenly appear and engage me in conversation, signaling that I had arrived at my destination.
In simpler terms, Zanni, the First Mask isn’t a challenging opponent since you mainly need to familiarize yourself with his attack patterns, dodge or parry occasionally. Luckily, there’s no additional phase, so once his health depletes to zero, the battle concludes.
After you defeat Zanni, the First Mask, head back and exit the boss’s domain. You’ll find Pulcinella near a door that was previously locked, which serves as the entry to the secure area of the Theater of the Masks in Enotria: The Last Song.
What Is Inside The Theater Of The Masks In Enotria: The Last Song
Once you open the Theater of the Masks in the game, you’ll find just two figures within; Pulcinella and Mecenate. However, be aware that Mecenate is under a curse, as a different character – the Merchant – resides inside him. As players advance through the game and finish character quests in Enotria: The Last Song, certain non-player characters (NPCs) will relocate to the Theater of the Masks. Among these moving characters are:
- Maja, Goddess of Life and Death
- Veltha, Goddess of Strife
- Crabbert
- Bargniff
- Letho
In this setup, certain characters can only be admitted into the secure area after you’ve defeated their respective bosses, while others demand that you fulfill their missions first. Additionally, some Non-Player Characters (NPCs) make visits to the Theater of the Masks; however, this event takes place closer to the end of the game.
