In the game Eternal Strands, strands signify the diverse magical skills that Brynn and the Weavers can manipulate. Unlike acquiring magic through traditional means like learning from teachers or drawing power from old walls, players in this scenario will need to hunt large creatures first, followed by seeking guidance from a specialist within the Weaverband afterwards.
Mastering the use of a Strand is quite thrilling, but if your goal is to advance in the Eternal Strands, at some point, you’ll have to enhance the ones you’re already familiar with. Luckily, enhancing a Strand shares the same simplicity as learning a new one.
How to Get Strand Powers in Eternal Strands
To acquire and enhance a Strand, you must locate and defeat its associated foe. Merely draining the enemy’s health bar isn’t sufficient; you must then extract the Strand from them by identifying a vulnerable spot and personally tapping into its power source to collect it.
In the tale of Eternal Strands, experiencing the first defeat of the Ark of Shattered Earth will reward you with enhancements for your Entangling Blast ability. By detaching and gathering magic from its chest plate, you’ll gain another Entangling Blast Strand. However, vanquishing the boss directly won’t result in any rewards.
The enhancement of powers is limited; once a power has reached its maximum capacity, additional instances of the same power obtained by defeating the same boss will not be received. However, you can continue to gather the resources that the boss drops even if it’s a power you’ve already maximized.
Before setting off for an exciting journey, take a moment to check the ‘Epic Encounter’ listed in the information panel on the right side. This detail will help you understand the kind of boss you might encounter during your exploration in that specific location.
Visit Dahm
After defeating a boss and acquiring the power you wish to enhance, head back to your base and find Dahm near Sola and Sev’s forge. He specializes in magical research, and he can also incorporate Strand into your mantle. Just approach him and select the power you want to upgrade.
To increase the power level to 3, follow these steps: First, head to Casmyr near the Loomgate and upgrade Dahm’s Atelier from there. Keep in mind that you might need to upgrade Casmyr’s station first if you haven’t done so already. Moreover, progressing through the main quest is necessary for the base workstation’s to reach level 3. This higher tier of upgrades will become available once you spend a day exploring Upper Dnevron.
As an enthusiast, I can tell you that to level up the NPC stations at our base, you’ll require Camp Supplies. To obtain these resources, engage in conversation with Casmyr and opt for the Salvage Resources choice. By doing so, you’ll be able to break down any excess materials into the supplies needed.
