How to Upgrade Weapons, Masks, And Mask Lines In Enotria: The Last Song

As a seasoned adventurer who’s navigated countless labyrinthine worlds, I can confidently say that Enotria: The Last Song is one of the most intricate and rewarding games I’ve ever played. Despite its initial complexity, understanding the nuances of upgrading weapons, masks, and mask lines has been a game-changer in my journey through this enchanting land.

Initially, the game Enotria: The Last Song may appear overwhelming for beginners due to its numerous elements to manage, including Italian terminology to grasp and a complex, circular game world to navigate. It’s quite simple to overlook key aspects such as enhancing weapons and abilities amidst all this intricacy.

In the game titled “Enotria: The Last Song,” players have opportunities to enhance their weapons, masks, and even mask lines, but not immediately from the start. Instead, they must navigate to a particular spot within the game first to unlock the feature for upgrading their gear. Here’s the gist of it:

How to Upgrade Equipment in Enotria: The Last Song

At a crucial spot called the Anvil, near Corda Risonante fast travel points, players have the ability to enhance their gear. This significant location is labeled ‘Equipment Upgrade’ when you hover over it. The initial Anvil in Enotria can be discovered within Quinta Lower Commons, situated in the city beyond the bridge with the Reality Rift.

There are three types of equipment that can be upgraded in Enotria: The Last Song.

  • Weapons
  • Masks
  • Mask Lines

You can perform all three kinds of updates by utilizing a single Anvil. To switch between them, just navigate within the upgrade menu.

How to Upgrade Weapons

In the story of “Enotria: The Last Song“, you can enhance your weapons by utilizing either Smithing Stones, specifically Efestite or Unraveled Efestite, and Memoria (Runes). Commonly, Efestite is employed to upgrade weapons without or possessing a blue border. On the other hand, Unraveled Efestite serves for upgrading weapons that display a purple border.

In the world of Efestite, there are various levels of both regular Efestite and Unraveled Efestite. To enhance more advanced equipment, you’ll need to progress through these tiers. This process moves from Efestite Fragments, then to Efestite Shards, followed by Efestite Nuggets, and so forth. The same sequence applies for the Unraveled Efestite as well.

How to Upgrade Masks

In the story of “Enotria: The Last Song“, you can enhance your masks using either “Broken Maiolica” or “Unraveled Broken Maiolica and Memoria”. Scarce masks such as Curtis’s Mask necessitate Unraveled Broken Maiolica, whereas ordinary ones like the “Mask of Change” only require Broken Maiolica for upgrades.

How to Upgrade Mask Lines

Mask Lines in Enotria: The Last Song can be upgraded using Shred of the Canovaccio and Memoria.

Enhancing a Mask Line doesn’t just boost its initial damage, but also expedites its charging speed. This means that enhancements using ‘Presto’ will charge even more swiftly with each upgrade.

How to Refund Equipment Upgrades in Enotria: The Last Song

A standout aspect of the game “Enotria: The Last Song” is the option to return all equipment enhancements and regain a portion of the money spent on these improvements. To initiate this process, choose an upgraded weapon, mask, or mask line from the Equipment Upgrade menu, then press the Refund button that appears at the bottom right, near the Upgrade option.

Upon requesting a refund, you’ll get back any and all upgrade materials used in leveling up your Longsword, such as Unraveled Efestite Fragments. However, the Memoria points you invested during the upgrade process won’t be returned to you. So, if you had spent 6 Unraveled Efestite Fragments to boost a +2 Longsword to +3, those fragments will be restored to you. But the Memoria points used (1200 in this case) for that upgrade won’t be refunded.

Refunds are completely free.

As a gamer, whenever I request a refund on an upgraded weapon, the level of its power diminishes gradually. For instance, if I return a +8 sword, it’ll drop down to a +7. If I keep on refunding, I can eventually bring it back to its original state, which is a +0 weapon.
