In Mewgenics, you send your cats on quests to battle enemies and challenging bosses. To succeed, you’ll need strong cats, so breeding the best ones is key. However, space is limited, meaning you can’t have an unlimited number of cats, and you’ll also need to keep them clean.
Good news – you can make your house bigger in Mewgenics! This gives you more room to comfortably house your cats and a dedicated space to breed high-quality pets using what you learn from Tink. This guide will show you how to expand your house and improve your breeding efforts.
How to Upgrade Your House in Mewgenics
In Mewgenics, you can improve your house by sending Retired Cats to Frank, the builder. He appears at your door the day after your first battle. Although he looks a bit unsettling, he’s a friendly neighbor who lives below you. The cat entrance on the left is actually a direct path to his home.
Frank actually built your house, and he’s willing to expand it for you! To add more rooms, just collect old or unused units by completing adventures, and then send those unwanted units to him. He says he needs them because he’s also slowing down a bit. Since you’re looking for more space, upgrading with Frank should be a top priority.
Don’t sell or give away your best, most experienced cats – you’ll need them to have kittens and pass on their good qualities.
Here’s a complete breakdown of all the improvements available from this builder, including how much each one costs and what you’ll gain from it.
All Frank Upgrades and Rewards
| All House Upgrades | Cost | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| Upgrade 0 | 1 Retired Cat | Attic |
| Upgrade 1 | 25 Retired Cats | 1 additional room |
| Upgrade 2 | 60 Retired Cats | 1 additional room |
| Upgrade 3 | 100 Retired Cats | 1 additional room |
At first, you only have one large room where all your creatures – even the strays and those you bring back from adventures – have to stay. The attic is initially locked. However, by improving your house in Mewgenics, you can unlock four additional rooms, as well as the attic, making the effort worthwhile.
Now it’s possible to breed exceptionally strong kittens by pairing cats with both high energy levels and excellent base stats – particularly intelligence, which helps increase their mana.
