Lost Capsules are valuable collectibles in Borderlands 4 that can reward you with SDU Tokens and useful loot. However, you need to know how to use them. If you find these indestructible capsules while exploring Kairos, you might be unsure of their purpose. This guide will explain everything you need to know to unlock plenty of free rewards from Lost Capsules.
What to Do With Lost Capsules in Borderlands 4

You can find Lost Capsules by opening the map and filtering the Legend entries to show only their locations. There are 20 of these collectibles hidden throughout Kairos. Once you find one, simply use your grapple hook or pick it up directly. When you have a Lost Capsule, Claptrap will let you know. To get rewards, take the Lost Capsule to any Safehouse or Faction Town and place it in the Decrypt Station. This will give you a random assortment of items, cash, and 15 SDU Tokens.
After you find a Lost Capsule, keep an eye on your Heads-Up Display (HUD) – it will guide you to the closest Safehouse or Faction Town. Don’t try to call a vehicle while carrying the capsule, or it will disappear and you’ll have to go back to where you found it. While it takes effort to carry the Lost Capsule back to base, the valuable loot and SDU Tokens you get in return are worth the trip. To make things easier, try to locate all the Safehouses first.
