Okay, so in Nioh 3, passive skills really shake things up. Most just give you a little extra strength or defense, but some totally change how you play. I was checking out this skill called ‘The More The Merrier’ – it lets you cancel animations by using Summon Talismans. At first, I thought it was kinda weird, since my Guardian Spirit could already do something similar. But once I started weaving it into my combos, man, it became super useful! It’s way more valuable than I initially thought.
Where to Get The More The Merrier in Nioh 3
This skill is located on a body inside a hut in the Futamata region, which is part of the Warring States Era. You’ll access this area by playing through the main story. If you’ve already finished that part of the game, you can return by teleporting to the Abandoned Bamboo Grove Shrine or the Tealeaf Village Shrine.
You can easily find the ‘The More The Merrier’ skill on the body of a fallen enemy, which is visible in the area. Defeat the surrounding Takeda soldiers to reach it and collect the skill. To use it, go to any Shrine and open the Skills Management menu. You’ll find ‘The More The Merrier’ listed under Common Skills. It costs 4 Skill Points to equip. If you need more Skill Points than you have, search for a special Memorandum item to increase your maximum.
How to Use The More The Merrier Skill in Nioh 3
What Does The More The Merrier Do?
This ability allows you to interrupt most animations simply by using a Summon Talisman, much like canceling animations with a Guardian Spirit Skill. The most effective use of ‘The More The Merrier’ is to shorten lengthy recovery times. This can make challenging Martial Arts moves, such as the Kurama Sword Dance, much easier to use.
One of the biggest benefits of The More The Merrier is that it allows you to use Summon Talismans more easily during battles. These talismans can bring in powerful yokai to help you continue combos, inflict status effects, and keep the action going in Nioh 3 without interrupting the fight. Here are a few Summon Talismans we suggest using:
- Hino-Enma paralyzes targets before swooping through them for good damage.
- Jakotsu-Baba deals fantastic AoE damage.
- Ryomen Sukuna will spin around and deal very good damage against everything he hits.
- Skeleton Warrior will summon two archers that will continuously pelt enemies with arrows.
- Scampuss summons two friendly Scampusses that will harass enemies by ramming into them, disrupting their attacks and damaging their Ki.
