Shortly after its initial release, Season 1 of *Skate* is now available! This update fixes some player frustrations, enhances features like character customization, improves the game’s graphics, and adds a new Skate Pass.
The game doesn’t require a purchase to enjoy rewards! Even if you’re playing for free, you can earn Tix by completing challenges and use them to unlock cool items like character customizations, animations, and new skateboard designs. One challenge you might encounter is landing a Varial Kickflip. If you’re struggling with it, we’ve got a simple guide to help you master the Varial Kickflip in Skate 4.
How to Varial Kickflip in Skate 4
The Varial Kickflip is a challenging skateboarding trick that requires a lot of practice. It involves spinning the board sideways, flipping it in the air, and then landing back on top.
Similar to many flip tricks, all you need to perform this one is the right stick on your controller. It’s much simpler than more difficult tricks like the Benihana, so you don’t have to worry about precise timing or rapidly pressing buttons.
To land a Varial Kickflip in *Skate 4*, begin by positioning yourself in the center of the area. Then, move your right stick down and to the left, and quickly follow that with a diagonal upward flick towards the top-right – just like the picture shows.
The button layout is consistent whether you’re using an Xbox or PlayStation controller, as long as you’ve selected ‘Goofy stance’ in your settings. If you prefer ‘Regular stance’, the movement is the same, but reversed: move the stick down and to the right, then quickly up and to the left.
So, to sum up, here are the right stick inputs for a Varial Kickflip on both stances:
- Goofy stance: move the stick from bottom-left to top-right.
- Regular stance: move the stick from bottom-right to top-left.
After you successfully land the trick, do it four more times to finish the daily challenge – the Varial Kickflip Skate Pass – and get 40 Tix. You can use these Tix to unlock pages in the pass shop and get the items you want. Plus, you’ll also receive 150 Rip Chips, which you can trade for reward boxes.
You can also purchase Tix directly using real money through the Tix Currency Packs on the main page, which is a convenient way for players who want to gain an advantage in skateboarding.
