In an interview with Variety, Grant shared one reason he dislikes the internet. His tale unfolds from the press tour for Wonka. At a major conference featuring the entire cast, someone inquired whether they had enjoyed filming the movie.

Originally, everyone responded positively, saying they loved a particular film. However, in jest at the end, I countered by saying ‘I hated it.’ Unfortunately, this joke got misinterpreted online and people began to believe that I actually disliked working on the film. In reality, I adored making it and am extremely satisfied with the final product. This is just one example of how the internet can twist humor and context to create sensationalist headlines, which is a major reason I have such strong distaste for it.

But in “Heretic”, he delivered an unsettling performance as a sociopathic character, playing the villainous role in a horror film.
