Hundreds of People Are Already Playing Black Ops 6

As a gamer with over two decades of experience under my belt, I must say, the unauthorized leak of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has left me both amused and frustrated. On one hand, it’s thrilling to see the game in action ahead of its official release, but on the other, the cat-and-mouse game between players and developers is as old as gaming itself.

Over the last couple of days, there’s been quite an exciting journey for Call of Duty: Black Oops 6, as it appears that a significant number of individuals have been given early access to the game prior to its official launch, according to recent reports from TopMob.

Initially, it was thought that only a small group of individuals had the ability to access Black Ops 6. However, as more information circulated, this list of privileged users expanded into the hundreds. It appears that people are gaining access to this game by using PlayStation 4 consoles that have been rendered inoperable (or “bricked”), with the game version they’re playing seemingly a BETA version that the general public will be able to play towards the end of August on their own functional consoles. All leaked footage comes from the PlayStation 4.

Yesterday, I stumbled upon a vibrant Discord server teeming with more than a hundred players, all engrossed in the game before it went offline for bug fixes. It appears these glitches were triggered by the latest BETA update. Thankfully, those issues have been rectified, and we’re back to enjoying the game once again!

It’s quite intriguing to note that it isn’t just players competing against automated bots. Instead, there’s a bustling crowd of individuals engaging in matches with each other.

It’s unclear if Activision can prevent players from accessing Black Ops 6 at this point. However, they have been removing content related to the game that appears online by issuing DMCA takedown notices.

One developer told me about the situation, “It really sucks to see our big reveal ruined like this, we were all excited to show it off in a big and special way.” Black Ops 6 multiplayer is set to be officially revealed at the end of August in a CODNext event, which will be prior to the Black Ops 6 BETA.
