Hunt: Showdown Best Legendary Hunters

Hunt: Showdown Best Legendary Hunters

As a seasoned player of Hunt: Showdown 1896, I must say that each new character released brings a unique charm and strategy to the game. Among these legendary hunters, one that particularly stands out is The Reptilian, exclusive to the Cold Blooded DLC.

Hunt: Showdown 1896, a stealthy launch by Crytek, has been steadily thriving in the online gaming sphere. Even after its initial debut, Crytek consistently updates the game, preserving its distinctive blend of Player vs Player vs Environment (PvPvE) with additional DLCs featuring new skins, weapons, and other content.

Among all the updates, the ones generating the most buzz are the Legendary Hunter Skins. These skins boast distinct appearances when viewed from first-person and third-person perspectives, come with exclusive pre-game animations, and occasionally offer extra in-game camouflage based on the colors of their attire. However, it’s important to note that not all skins are made equal.

In the game Hunt: Showdown 1896, hunters themselves don’t boost gameplay performance, but they hold significant value for certain players who appreciate style. For those players, legendary hunters stand out as the epitome of flair, allowing them to showcase unique attire and demonstrate their individuality.

10 Perchta: Dusk

Exclusive To Drau Perchta DLC

Hunt: Showdown Best Legendary Hunters

Legendary winter tales from the east depict a figure that’s neither human nor animal, known as Frau Perchta, who roams the frozen wilderness. This mysterious entity slits open her unfortunate victims and lets their insides be devoured by the wild creatures. Now, Frau Perchta is said to be making an appearance in Louisiana.

The additional content for Frau Perchta includes two legendary character skins, but they depict the same character in different lighting. Perchta: Dawn and Perchta: Dusk are visually stunning with an imposing mask and stylish clothing. However, what sets Perchta: Dusk apart is her darker color scheme, as might be expected. Her mask and clothes shift from the bright whites of Perchta: Dawn to grays and blacks, making her more challenging to spot and thus, more menacing.

9 Scaramuccia

Exclusive To Commedia Della Morte DLC

Hunt: Showdown Best Legendary Hunters

For an actor who’s played numerous chilling roles in stage productions, it would be unimaginably distressing if his performances became actual events. However, this was precisely what Scaramuccia yearned for. He has made audiences tremble on cue for mere pocket change, but now he can induce genuine fear for sacks of gold.

donning a three-layered mask, Scaramuccia exhibits expressions reminiscent of those seen in corrupt communities, far from ordinary insanity. Having trained with fictional monsters for such a long time, confronting real horrors seems to fail in stirring fear within Scaramuccia.

8 Corvid: Brood

Available Through Blood Bonds

Hunt: Showdown Best Legendary Hunters

In the thrilling world of “Hunt: Showdown 1896”, I’ve noticed a fresh addition to our ranks – the Corvid Hunters. These newcomers have made their debut on the heels of the popular Plague Doctor, an event-exclusive character. Just like the Plague Doctor, the Corvid Hunters sport headgear reminiscent of a plague mask, but they each bring their own distinct personalities to the game.

Emma Davies, known as Brood, delved profoundly into the core of infections to understand their essence, which came at great personal cost. Compromising her moral compass to uncover the truth about the Corruption placed Emma on the battlefield in the fight against the epidemic.

7 Hex Breaker

Available Through Blood Bonds

Hunt: Showdown Best Legendary Hunters

Having made it through the epidemic in New Orleans, Hex Breaker refuses to bend before the Corruption and the ominous shadows it has cast. With an air of self-assurance, Hex Breaker maintains a keen eye for fashion as much as he does for executing his duties flawlessly, donning a sleek leather coat.

Under the alias “Hex Breaker,” this character possesses a sinister aspect to his visage, which he doesn’t attempt to conceal. His chilling grin offers a hint of his past, yet for the moment, eliminating Corruption remains the foremost concern.

6 Captain Laffite

Exclusive To Law Of Salvage DLC

Hunt: Showdown Best Legendary Hunters

Navigating through the unknown in the pitch-black is second nature for seafarers such as Captain Laffite. While numerous sailors have successfully steered their vessels to safety, only a select few lived on after shipwrecks. Captain Laffite excels at helping a shipwrecked sailor find their way to their intended course.

Equipped with a flintlock pistol at his side, Laffite stands prepared for any situation. Given his ability to cheat death before, it seems he could do so repeatedly. With an intriguing appearance, Laffite is an excellent fit for those captivated by the world of piracy.

5 Luz Mala

Exclusive To La Luz Mala DLC

Hunt: Showdown Best Legendary Hunters

In her native town of Patagonia, the slender hunter named Luz Mala has witnessed much, leaving an indelible mark on her ever since. With streaks of white adorning her figure and mask, Luz Mala exhibits a remarkable ability to blend inconspicuously amidst the foliage and maintain a safe distance from her quarry, particularly in the shadows of night.

Luz Mala’s background from Africa gives her a distinct advantage in speed and agility as she moves stealthily through the darkness. In the game, she stands out among other hunters due to her unwavering anonymity – she never discloses her identity – and the deep memories of the devastation that wiped out Patagonia, which linger like haunting nightmares within her.

4 Hayali

Exclusive To When Shadows Dance DLC

Hunt: Showdown Best Legendary Hunters

Under a double-sided mask, Hayali excels in trickery and persuasion. He’s one of the enigmatic hunters whose past remains shrouded in mystery. This very ambiguity piques the curiosity of players, as they are drawn to uncover the hidden truths lurking beneath his deceptive visage.

Hayali’s spawn animation symbolizes his tricky nature, starting off looking like a puppet rising, only to reveal his true form. This is reminiscent of how Hayali manipulates his foes as if they were puppets, guiding them towards his desired locations.

3 The Miko

Exclusive To Shrine Maiden’s Hell DLC

Hunt: Showdown Best Legendary Hunters

Bringing with her a sword that has lived in her family’s shrine for generations, The Miko made the trek to Louisiana to silence the mouths that give her weapon a voice. What that means is anyone’s guess, but what it means to players is that there’s a creepy new Hunter stalking the bayou.

Miko gains the most advantage from her tattered shawl that hangs around her, mirroring the rugged environment of the bayou. Her worn clothing helps her camouflage within the bayou’s wild vegetation. Yet, much like other characters on this list, her vibrant mask may stand out in the shadowy corners of the swamp, and her top knot merely makes her head a more prominent target.

2 The Reaper

Exclusive To Fear The Reaper DLC

Hunt: Showdown Best Legendary Hunters

Introduced with the Fear The Reaper expansion pack, this character – known simply as The Reaper – is a menacing figure shrouded in darkness. His closely bound charcoal grey cloak and the sickle tucked at his side evoke images of the Grim Reaper, while the skull-like mask he dons adds an extra layer of fearsome intensity to his appearance.

In appearance, The Reaper excels as a home run. However, issues surface when it comes to practice. His waist-bound clock flutters around his feet, which can make him stand out, counteracting the excellent camouflage provided by his color scheme. Like other entries on this list, The Reaper’s terrifying face mask is undeniable, but it also stands out starkly against the swampy backdrop of the Bayou, making his head a more visible target than desired.

1 The Reptilian

Exclusive To Cold Blooded DLC

Hunt: Showdown Best Legendary Hunters

Introduced with the Cold Blooded DLC expansion, The Reptilian boasts exceptional natural camouflage within the game, making it difficult to distinguish him from the environment in Hunt: Showdown 1896. His color scheme, facial mask, and rough cloak texture allow him to blend seamlessly with the rocks and driftwood scattered across the maps, becoming virtually indistinguishable when he crouches down.

The good news is that the Reptilian is more deadly than a rock. When positioned properly, opposing Hunters tend to stroll right past him without even noticing he’s there, a mistake many won’t recover from. He also just looks fantastic, especially when equipped with his signature Tooth To Tail Bomb Lance.
