Despite this situation, it’s important not to overlook adding well-rounded characters like Terrako in “Age of Imprisonment”, as they help maintain balance in the narrative, gameplay, and overall experience, much like how past “Hyrule Warriors” games have done. Characters such as Linkle and Tingle from the original “Hyrule Warriors”, or Hestu and Monk Maz Koshia from “Age of Calamity” serve as examples. These characters were based on existing Zelda universe characters but not essential to the overall storyline. While Terrako played a significant role in “Age of Calamity’s” story, it also provided a more light-hearted contrast to “Breath of the Wild’s” darker aspects and could be unlocked as a playable character post-game.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment’s Character Roster Has Historic Potential

The cast of characters in “Age of Imprisonment” has a significant role in enriching its narrative and gameplay, given that it’s a prequel to “Tears of the Kingdom”. If the story is to stay consistent with the events of “Tears of the Kingdom”, there will be more characters needed beyond Princess Zelda, Rauru, Mineru, and the four Sages. The history of the Imprisoning War being uncertain provides an opportunity to introduce new characters to complement this roster. These could delve into the Knights of Hyrule or ancestors of characters from “Breath of the Wild” and its sequel, but it’s also crucial to include characters inspired by Terrako for a balanced lineup.

The Zonai Should Influence Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment’s Characters

In essence, it’s plausible that instead of Age of Imprisonment featuring Sheikah Guardians as enemies and bosses, they could be replaced by Soldiers, Captains, and Flux Constructs. Furthermore, the Zonai technology might serve as a potential substitute for Terrako in this new game. Since in Age of Calamity, Terrako has a connection with Princess Zelda, she could become the main character in Age of Imprisonment. To add an interesting twist, introducing a new Zonai Construct as her companion during Age of Imprisonment could harmonize and elevate the game’s narrative and tone for Tears of the Kingdom without contradicting Zelda canon.
