As a dedicated fan, I find myself once again drawn into the captivating world of “The Legend of Zelda” with Princess Zelda at the forefront. In the game titled “Echoes of Wisdom,” I found myself cheering for our valiant princess as she bravely fought to safeguard her kingdom in Link’s absence, demonstrating her unwavering determination and grace.
The debut trailer for Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment has been released on the Nintendo America YouTube channel. In this game, Princess Zelda from the Tears of the Kingdom timeline travels back in time to The Imprisoning War era, where Ganondorf was vanquished by the Zonai.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment Is A Nintendo Switch 2 Exclusive

The teaser for Hyrule Warriors: Prison Era has revealed that this game is exclusively available on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 and set to debut during Winter 2025. We’re optimistic that the enhanced capabilities of the new console will lead to smoother gameplay compared to what Hyrule Warriors: Age of Catastrophe could offer.
In the game that wasn’t heavily documented through footage, viewers got a glimpse of Princess Zelda teaming up with Zonai warriors, some sporting masks depicting the Divine Beasts from Breath of the Wild, as they waged war against waves of Moblins and other creatures. A youthful rendition of Ganondorf was briefly featured in the trailer.
Although it’s disappointing that the initial Nintendo Switch 2 presentation didn’t include a hint for a new main Zelda series installment, the announcement of a fresh Hyrule Warriors game is certainly something to be excited about. Age of Calamity was an enjoyable game that suffered from limitations on the Nintendo Switch hardware. Here’s hoping its sequel won’t encounter those problems with Nintendo’s latest console.
