Okay, so for anyone who doesn’t know, Hytale is making a comeback! After Riot shut it down, Hypixel Studios picked it up, and it’s finally hitting early access tomorrow, January 13th, 2026. We’ve already gotten a sneak peek – we knew how much it’s gonna cost and saw about 16 minutes of gameplay. Plus, they’re planning to add proximity chat, which is awesome, and they’re even thinking about letting us use portals to play with others. I’m super hyped!
Hypixel Founder Asks Players to Download Launcher and Login Beforehand Due to Expected Influx of Over 1 Million Players
The creator of Hypixel Studios is asking players to download and launch the Hytale game launcher a day early. This is to help ensure a smooth launch, as they anticipate over a million players will join on the first day of early access. The developers have also confirmed they won’t be releasing Hytale on Steam initially, to prevent potential negative reviews during this early access period. Hytale is a game that combines the freedom of building and creating with the adventure of a role-playing game. Players can discover a vast, ever-changing world filled with hidden dungeons, secrets, and diverse creatures, and then build and customize it to their liking. Since the game is launching in early access, players can anticipate encountering some bugs and changes as the developers continue to improve it. However, the core features – like exploring, fighting, building, and tools for creating custom content and servers – have been thoroughly refined for the initial launch.
Great news for Hytale fans! The game’s developers have been given the go-ahead to include a tribute to the late Technoblade.
