Hytale will honor Technoblade with a special tribute, with his father’s approval. The game developers are asking fans to share their suggestions for what this tribute should look like.
Technoblade, a popular Minecraft YouTuber who sadly passed away in June 2022 after fighting cancer, will be remembered within the game itself. He was well-known for playing on the Hypixel server, which later inspired the game Hytale.
Technoblade Tribute Coming to Hytale
Simon Collins-Laflamme, founder of Hypixel Studios, announced on X (formerly Twitter) that they have permission from Technoblade’s father to include a tribute to Technoblade within the game Hytale.
It’s tough talking about Technoblade, he really shaped my experience with Hypixel, and honestly, I’d love to see his legacy continue with whatever we do next. We’re open to ideas on how to make that happen, so if you have any suggestions, please share!
Fans are encouraged to share their suggestions for a fitting tribute to Technoblade. It was also recently shared that he had applied for a marketing position at Hypixel Studios ten years prior, but wasn’t old enough to be hired.
People online have been suggesting ways to honor Technoblade in the game, like making it very rare for a pig to appear looking like him, adding a unique weapon, or creating a special boss battle.
Following his death, Technoblade was honored in Minecraft with a special image on the game’s main screen. The image featured a pig wearing a golden crown, referencing the distinctive character skin he famously used in his videos.
In August 2021, Technoblade publicly shared his cancer diagnosis and immediately began fundraising for the Sarcoma Foundation of America. He quickly exceeded his $250,000 goal, raising over $300,000 in just two hours. Later, in May 2025, his YouTube channel reached a remarkable 20 million subscribers, even after his passing.
