I’m so excited for the next update to Hytale! Simon Collins-Laflamme from Hypixel Studios just announced that Update 2 will have some really cool new face masks and other cosmetic items. Plus, we’ll finally be able to hide our armor, which is awesome! They’re also making some tweaks to how the game progresses and changing up the user interface, so it sounds like a big update overall.
Since launching on January 13th, Hytale has already received updates for players with early access. The first update added dinosaurs like the T-Rex, Triceratops, and Pterodactyl, but players had to find a volcanic area to encounter them. Update 1 also improved the game’s crafting system, making it faster to create leather and easier to upgrade your backpack at the beginning of the game.
Hytale Update 2 Is Arriving Sooner Than Players Think
Now that the first early access version of Hytale is out, Hypixel Studios is working on the next update. Hytale Update 2 will include features players have asked for, like the ability to hide individual pieces of armor. The update will also add new cosmetic items, including face masks, different mouth options to create characters resembling vampires or orcs, and improved haircuts and clothing styles.
Simon Collins-Laflamme, the founder of Hypixel Studios, announced that a new item called the Necromancy Grimoire will be included in the next update for Hytale. Players can obtain this magical book by defeating the Skeleton Praetorian, and it allows them to summon up to five skeletal minions from bone piles to fight enemies. These minions won’t stay around forever – they’ll disappear after five minutes or if the player who summoned them dies. Collins-Laflamme later explained on Twitter that this grimoire isn’t part of the game’s main magic system; it’s just a fun, extra item added to the update.
Hytale’s Next Update Is Packed With Fresh Goodies
Update 2 for Hytale will improve the game with several convenient changes. Mining will become faster depending on the quality of your pickaxe, and you’ll need a cobalt or thorium pickaxe to mine adamantite. These changes should make it easier for new players to get started. The game’s interface will also be updated with a keybind to quickly collect all items from chests. Players will be visible on the compass, and server owners will benefit from improvements to server stability.
The second update for Hytale will make farming easier. Crops will no longer be destroyed by accidental hits, saving players from losing their hard work. The update also fixes a problem where farmland would disappear under fully grown crops and extends how long tilled soil stays usable. Players can try out Hytale Update 2 now through the game’s pre-release program. Just open the game launcher and choose the pre-release option in the settings. The full update is expected to launch between January 23rd and 24th, depending on feedback from players testing the pre-release version.
The next update for Hytale will give players a longer period to test it and share their thoughts before the official launch. According to the developers, this extended preview will allow mod creators and server administrators more time to prepare their content. While the game’s interface still has a few minor issues, players are encouraged to continue providing feedback during early access.

Important Notes
Hey everyone, we’re planning to launch this update this weekend! If you get a chance, please help us test it out and let us know if you find any bugs – either in the game itself or just reply here if it’s a big one. Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly, and I’ll keep you all updated on Friday or Saturday!
So, Update 3 is coming, and we’re planning to give modders and server owners a longer heads-up this time. We’ve noticed a ton of awesome content being made by the community, and to keep everything running smoothly for everyone, we want to make our updates more predictable. Basically, we want to give them enough time to update their stuff before we drop the new version so there aren’t any big issues!
