Venom Sacs are important crafting materials in Hytale, especially when you’re first starting out and trying to improve your crafting stations and equipment. They aren’t too difficult to find, but they only drop from certain enemies, so you’ll need to know where to look to collect them efficiently.
This guide will tell you which monsters drop Venom Sacs in Hytale. We’ll also cover alternative ways to get them if you’d prefer to avoid the primary method – which does involve spiders!
How to Get Venom Sacs in Hytale
Venom Sacs are dropped by poisonous creatures, most commonly giant spiders found in forests and caves. These spiders aren’t too difficult to defeat, but their attacks will poison you, causing your health to decrease over time. It’s best to avoid getting hit!
Okay, so here’s the deal: if my character dies, I don’t just respawn magically! I actually lose some of the items I’m carrying, and all my equipment takes a beating. That means I’ll have to spend time and resources repairing everything, and each repair makes the gear wear down even faster. It’s a real pain, honestly!
You can find Venom Sacs in underground spider nests. Look for areas covered in webs – that’s a sure sign you’ve found one. Be careful, though, as these nests are usually full of Cave Spiders. The narrow cave spaces can make it hard to move around, and getting surrounded by spiders can be deadly due to their bites and poison.
It’s a good idea to upgrade your backpack before you start looking for spiders – that way, you’ll have more space to carry everything you find!
Arachnophobia Mode
Some of the spiders in Hytale can be scary, so the game offers an Arachnophobia mode! This replaces all spiders with giant crabs if you’d prefer. You can enable it by going to the Settings menu from the main menu, then finding the Accessibility section within the Gameplay tab. You can also turn it on while playing, but you’ll need to return to the main menu for the change to take effect.
Alternate Venom Sac Sources
As I’ve been exploring, I’ve discovered that you can get Venom Sacs by hunting snakes! They pop up randomly above ground, and I’ve mostly found them in forests, though I’ve had good luck near swamps too. Just like spiders, snakes are poisonous, but the good news is they usually travel alone, so you don’t have to worry about being overwhelmed by a bunch of them.
Venom Sac Uses
To improve your Blacksmith’s Anvil and create Thorium armor, you’ll need Venom Sacs. Remember that each workbench upgrade needs to be done separately – you can’t upgrade multiple workbenches all at once.
