Zack Hoyt, commonly recognized by his online name Asmongold, remains clueless about his daily YouTube income. During a recent live stream, he even displayed his latest Twitch earnings to his audience, confirming this fact.
While many content creators agree that streaming is easier than working a 9-to-5 job, that doesn’t stop them from treating it seriously by, e.g., tracking their performance and sticking with a fixed broadcasting schedule. However, past a certain level of popularity, none of these practices are really pertinent to sustained success.
Testifying to this state of affairs, popular streamer Asmongold has recently revealed that he generally has no idea how much money he’s making from YouTube. During a mid-March 2025 Twitch stream, the content creator was asked whether Google’s video platform is a bigger source of revenue for him than Twitch. “I have no idea,” Asmongold said, adding that he’d have to check.
Asmongold Made Over $40,000 From Twitch in the Last 30 Days

While he didn’t pull up his YouTube earnings live on stream, the popular content creator did reveal how much he made from Twitch as of late. Over the 30-day period ending March 14, his Zackrawrr channel made $40,238 from the Amazon-owned video service, the streamer said. Although some of his Twitch viewers were taken aback by these earnings, Asmongold labeled them as “low.” Elaborating on this perspective, he claimed that he likely would have made ten times that amount if he had chosen to run Twitch ads on his channel.
Asmongold Isn’t Up to Date with His YouTube Earnings
While Asmongold is also fairly active on YouTube, he’s not as up-to-date with his earnings on the Google-owned platform. During his March 14 Twitch stream, the content creator revealed that he hasn’t checked his YouTube revenue in approximately six months. “All I know is that if I go to the store and buy a taco, the card’s gonna clear,” Asmongold explained.

Asmongold has primarily been streaming on Twitch via his Zackrawrr alt account since 2022. However, it wasn’t until December 2024 that he monetized that channel. He still refuses to run ads on it to this day, which is a decision that he previously speculated was causing Twitch to lose money on his streams, due to the huge crowds they attract. Even without ads, subscriptions and donations have made his Twitch streaming well worth the effort. Back in mid-February 2025, the content creator revealed that he made over $37,000 in Twitch revenue over the 30-day period ending February 17. Back when he first monetized his Zackrawrr channel, Asmongold made over $90,000 from it in the first month.
