Lately, there’s been some surprising information circulating about Fairgames, the upcoming third-person shooter for PlayStation from Haven Studios. The game, according to Michael Pachter, a well-known industry analyst on his podcast “The Pachter Factor”, has reportedly been shelved or put on hold.
In a recent development, Pachter has admitted his earlier statement was misleading and offered an apology for any misunderstanding it may have caused. According to current information, Fairgames (stylized as ‘Fairgame$’), as far as we’re aware, is not canceled.
Is Fairgames Still Coming Out?
Despite the recent departure of its founder, Jade Raymond, it appears that Fairgames is still set for release.
Based on certain circumstances, analyst Michael Pachter speculated about Fairgames, concluding that the game might be canceled due to the departure of its founding entrepreneur from the company.
With Pachter’s comment rapidly going viral across social platforms, Destin Legarie reached out to him for further explanation.
Apologies for any confusion, but my earlier statement may not have been accurate. When I said Jade was let go, I had mistakenly thought that referred to the cancellation of the game. Unfortunately, I currently do not possess any information regarding the game whatsoever. Please allow me to clarify that I’m indeed in the dark about it, as stated before.
This year, it emerged that initial tests for Fairgames have delayed its release to 2026, a game originally unveiled in 2023. As Haven Studios’ debut project, Fairgames is anticipated to be a standard live-service shooter under the PlayStation brand.
