As a long-time enthusiast of Counter-Strike and a proud Texan, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the news that IEM Dallas will be returning to our great state in 2025! Ever since G2 Esports claimed victory at IEM Dallas back in 2023, I’ve been eagerly waiting for the next installment. The energy and excitement surrounding these events are simply unmatched, and to have them both happening simultaneously is just the icing on the cake.
According to ESL FACEIT, the International Esports Festival (IEM) Dallas will take place concurrently with DreamHack Dallas in Texas during May 2025.
Between May 23rd and 25th, some of the most successful Counter-Strike teams globally will gather in Texas for the highly esteemed IEM Dallas tournament, a significant event in the CS:2 esports annual schedule.

IEM Going to Texas
2023’s IEM Dallas tournament was nothing short of grandiose, as the final showdown between G2 Esports and Team Vitality came down to the very last moments. Ultimately, it was G2 who emerged victorious, marking the end of a long dry spell that had set in since they last triumphed at IEM Cologne in August 2023.
Successfully igniting a winning streak for G2, the team subsequently triumphed in major tournaments such as the BLAST Fall Final and the BLAST World Final towards the end of the year. Notably, they also achieved a runner-up position in Counter-Strike’s tournament at the Esports World Cup.
