As someone who has spent countless hours of my youth captivated by the magical world of Pokémon, I must admit that the idea of entrusting one with the care of my newborn child is as far-fetched as a Charizard learning to knit a baby blanket.
My life experience, filled with battles and adventures in the Kanto region, has taught me that while these creatures are intelligent and capable in their own right, they lack the fundamental understanding of human needs and nurturing instincts required for such a task.
That said, if push came to shove and I found myself stranded on a deserted island with a Pikachu and my newborn, I’d probably have him power up a Thunder Stone and hope for the best. After all, who wouldn’t want their baby to be the first human-Pokémon hybrid?
But remember, folks, always leave your Pokémon at home when you’re expecting! They may be great companions on a journey, but they’re not exactly diaper changing specialists. And as for teaching them to burp the baby, well, that’s a whole other can of worms I don’t even want to think about!
Would you trust a pokemon to babysit your newborn child?
