If you missed the last one, the new Monster Hunter Wilds event quest is another way to stock up on rare ingredients before the big update drops next week

Monster Hunter Wilds has an exciting couple of weeks ahead, as not only does it have its initial free content update coming up next week, but also a fresh event quest is underway, allowing players to gather some valuable resources.

Capcom recently presented a thrilling exhibition outlining what’s new in Update 1 for Title, scheduled for Friday, April 4. The standout feature is the comeback of Palico cooking. In addition to this, Capcom continues to provide weekly event quests for players to participate in and acquire valuable equipment. Last week’s quests provided opportunities to gather decorations and obtain a fresh headgear item from a Rathian hunt. Although the Rathian quest is still accessible for an additional week, the decorations quests have been swapped with a newly introduced event quest, as detailed on the Monster Hunter website.

Entitled “Congalala Cravings,” this fresh challenge pits you against everyone’s beloved flatulent ape. Completing this fight rewards you with some cooking supplies (do remember to clean them before use). To participate in this quest, you must be at least a Hunter Rank 9. This mission leads you through the Scarlet Forest where intense battles await.

To remove the Congalala for us, we’ll compensate you with Droolshrooms that can be utilized during cooking. These Droolshrooms are among the extra ingredients accessible to hunters when preparing meals, and they grant the Black Belt Meal (Lo) buff, which lessens your stamina usage while running or dodging. This quest also has a possibility of providing you with the superior version of the item: Delishrooms, offering an enhanced version of the same buff.

In Congalala, there’s a unique cooking ingredient called the Truffle Du Conga that can be unearthed during a hunt. This ingredient is considered one of the final touches for your culinary creations. When used in a dish, it provides the Gatherer Meal buff, which occasionally boosts the resources you collect from resource nodes like bones and ores. Additionally, Eastern Honey and Wild Seed Oil can be obtained as rewards for completing certain quests. The honey will grant you the Medic Meal, enhancing your health restoration, while the oil gives you the Specialist Meal, improving the potency of your abnormal status attack effects.

In summary, this mission appears to be an excellent opportunity to stock up your supply store before the upcoming monsters arrive in April. The “Like a Fire Hidden by Sand” mission, along with this one, will remain accessible until Wednesday, April 1. Following that, we’ll receive fresh missions to tackle as we approach the update scheduled for Friday, April 4.
