Beyond building your base, StarRupture has many different resources you can collect. Some of these resources, like Ignitium, are tricky to find. Players need Ignitium to upgrade buildings, but it isn’t always obvious where to look. This guide will show you how to find and mine Ignitium in StarRupture.
How To Get Ignitium In StarRupture
Ignitium is a unique ore in StarRupture because it can only be mined after the planet experiences a heat wave. All other ores are available to mine at any time, but Ignitium appears during and after these intense heating periods. The planet will get very hot for a few minutes before cooling down. While you’re safely inside your Habitat, you can identify Ignitium by looking for rocks that glow brighter than everything around them.
As soon as the initial surge subsides and it’s safe to exit, immediately begin searching the horizon for glowing rocks. The surrounding area should be dark, making the rocks easier to see at a distance.
Once you find the burning rocks in StarRupture, use your mining device to collect Ignitium. Be fast, though! You only have a short time to mine it before the rocks vanish as the planet cools down. After that, you’ll need to wait for the next wave of burning rocks to gather more Ignitium.
After you mine Ignitium, it will appear in your inventory. This resource is crucial for upgrading your Base Core – you’ll need 10 Ignitium to get it to level 2. Since you’ll be building many Base Cores in StarRupture, it’s important to consistently gather Ignitium.
