Images of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition for PSN Leaked Online

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can confidently say that the potential arrival of Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition on the PlayStation console is a game-changer for me and countless others who have longed for this iconic RTS series to make its way onto our favorite platform.

Recently, images have surfaced online showing that Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition, a widely recognized video game released in 2019, is being tested on the PlayStation Network (PSN). Despite its successful run within both PC and Xbox communities since its release, it has yet to be playable on a PlayStation console.

Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition Being Tested on PSN

Initially launched in 1999, the original Age of Empires II celebrated its 20th anniversary by unveiling its Definitive Edition in 2019. Unfortunately, this remastered edition was only available for Xbox and PC users, leaving out PlayStation gamers who have yet to experience any Age of Empires game on their console.

It appears that recently leaked images suggest that PlayStation Network (PSN) subscribers might soon receive the game on their consoles.

Initially, the issue became known when a Reddit user named draconis90 uploaded the picture displayed here on Reddit, depicting two individuals engaged in play of the game on a PlayStation console.

However, the user also states that this could just be a graphics bug.

Recently, it was hinted by Tom Warren, a Senior Editor at The Verge, that a game might potentially launch on PlayStation as early as the start of 2025. However, so far, no further details have been disclosed aside from the leaked picture provided.

What Does This All Mean?

So, what’s the deal here? Is it possible that Age of Empires fans will eventually see a version of the game on PlayStation? Or could it be that this is just a glitch or mistake?

Despite numerous opinions about the authenticity of this image, no other players have stepped forward to say they’ve experienced the same glitch within their own game yet.
