This article contains spoilers from One Piece’s Elbaf Arc.
Summary
- Imu’s power surpasses Haki and Devil Fruit abilities.
- The National Treasure of Marijoa can help rule the world.
- Imu’s magic powers come at the cost of lifespan.
Right now, “One Piece” finds itself in the climactic Final Saga, and it’s no secret among fans. The Elbaf arc significantly advances this final chapter, primarily because the primary antagonist is none other than the most formidable villain across the entire narrative – Imu.
It’s not surprising that Imu is proficient in Haki and possesses a Devil Fruit power. However, their might goes beyond these abilities alone. In reality, Imu’s powers are akin to magic, and they are intrinsically linked to the enigmatic Marijoa National Treasure, a mystery hinted at during the Dressrosa arc of One Piece.
The National Treasure Of Marijoa Is The Ultimate Power in One Piece
- The National Treasure Can Help One Take Over The World
- Doflamingo Wanted It For Himself
The Treasure of Marijoa, as its title implies, is a valuable artifact hidden within the Sacred Territory of the Celestial Dragons. It has been concealed there for centuries, and it was eventually uncovered by Doflamingo. However, it’s also possible that the National Treasure of Marijoa could be Imu themselves or merely their power, as hinted in chapter 1150 of One Piece.
On that momentous day, I couldn’t help but wish I possessed the power of the Ope Ope no Mi. With it, I might have seized the coveted National Treasure of Marijoa for myself.
As per Doflamingo, the abilities granted by the Ope Ope no Mi were such that he could have ruled over the entire world and claimed the title of its King, a position currently held by someone known as Imu. Essentially, Imu obtained an extremely powerful artifact from Marijoa, which allowed them to become the ruler of the world. Although manga creator Oda hasn’t explicitly mentioned what this National Treasure is, it is believed to be either Imu themselves or the power they possess, and in both cases, it is the same as the Ope Ope no Mi’s abilities.
Imu Can Use Magic
In chapter 1150 of “One Piece,” Imu demonstrated their magical prowess to the audience by exhibiting Gunko’s body as a vessel. As clearly displayed, Imu utilized a Spellbook in this demonstration and employed various abilities from it. Moreover, it appears that Imu’s weaponry largely consists of magic, primarily dark magic. It seems that Imu is highly skilled at wielding this power. The origin of this power remains uncertain, but chapter 1150 suggests that the Spellbook itself might be the National Treasure of Marijoa.
Mu will show thee the dominance of a God! — Imu
In my exploration, I stumbled upon Imu, a being who wields an extraordinary array of powers. Among these are demonic abilities, the power to summon a vast arsenal of weapons, and far beyond that, the capacity to bestow immortality and unparalleled physical might upon others through the dark force of Evil.
National Treasure Of Marijoa Requires Immortality To Use
In Marijoa, the National Treasure is extraordinarily powerful, a fact acknowledged by Doflamingo. However, he specified that he required immortality to harness its power. Here’s where things get intriguing. When Imu employed Domi Reversi on Dorry and Brogy, it became apparent they lost their mortal lives. Thus, the price for wielding magic seems to be one’s lifespan. Given this, to activate the Spellbook itself, Imu likely has to sacrifice their own life too – a crucial aspect. But how does Imu circumvent this? By being immortal. Having undergone the Ope Ope no Mi Perennial Youth Surgery, Imu can provide an infinite lifespan for Marijoa’s National Treasure, and wield evil power without bounds, making them the most powerful entity in the world.
The next chapter of One Piece, number 1152, will be published in two weeks’ time. Typically, new chapters appear every Sunday. In Japan, it’ll come out at midnight JST on Monday, but most international readers should have access to the chapter on June 25th. That’s when One Piece Chapter 1152 officially goes live. Excitingly, you can read this chapter for free on Manga Plus!
