As a seasoned gamer with decades of experience under my belt, I must say that I’ve encountered quite a few quirks and glitches during my gaming journey. However, nothing quite compares to the peculiar third-person view bug that recently surfaced in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.
As an ardent fan of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, I recently stumbled upon an intriguing feature in the game – a third-person view mode! It seems this may have been unintentionally introduced as a glitch, given that the developers at MachineGames, known for their work on previous titles, typically design the game to be played from a first-person perspective. However, there are instances where certain actions in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle shift the camera to a third-person view during gameplay.
Ever since its debut on December 9, “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle,” Bethesda’s newest AAA game, has garnered widespread acclaim, with much of it focusing on its captivating storyline. Interestingly, Bethesda Softworks still has plans for this action-adventure game, as they have already announced plans for a DLC expansion. Additionally, Lucasfilm, the intellectual property owner of Indiana Jones, has hinted at the possibility of a sequel to the Swedish developer’s Indiana Jones game in the future.
More recently, Reddit user theraineydaze posted a video claiming an apparent glitch in the game Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, where they seemed to be locked in a third-person perspective. The main character, Indiana Jones, performs various actions like rowing a boat or swimming, all captured by the third-person camera. Although the walking animations of the character seem a bit off when moving or turning, activities such as swimming and climbing appear smooth. One commentator observed this, saying, “Not as awkward as you’d think…,” while another found it to be “not looking bad at all.” Remarkably, the third-person camera glitch persists even when Indiana Jones uses the fast travel function to load a new location in the game.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle Fan Shows the Third-Person Camera Bug, Shares Possible Cause
It seems that during their entire gaming session, user theraineydaze encountered a problem where they were stuck in a third-person perspective. They explained how the bug occurred by describing an event where they were navigating their boat and maneuvered through a tight gap between two ruins. At that specific moment, the camera view shifted unexpectedly and refused to revert back to first-person until they loaded an earlier save file. The player of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle found the game nearly impossible to play while this bug persisted, as the third-person camera wouldn’t move smoothly in its current state, making gameplay unnatural.
While they’ve been at it, MachineGames has been diligently working on squashing bugs and enhancing the gaming experience for players of Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. They’ve already dispatched two significant updates so far, with the second one allowing Xbox users to appreciate significantly improved visuals during their Indiana Jones adventure.
